Practical Scrappers and Special Feature today is " SPORTS "

Hi ... At Practical Scrappers today I am sharing some  ideas on creating SPORTS pages.
When you do so many for so many different sports it becomes more difficult to come up with papers, accents and overall ideas to start your pages. There also is limited amounts of paper and accents out there for purchase. I have 4 grand kids that all play more than 2 sports so I hope some of the tricks I share will help you with your sports pages too.

The page above started with official background papers .. one side had a soccer ball and net and the other is just green grass. I then used cricut to cut lots of sports titles and #.

Black n white with grey is always an universal colour to base your page regardless
of the team colours and the sport.

This page is hockey oriented but I didn't use sport paper but a fun
guy coloured plaid and accent colours.

Kraft base with all sports is always and option.
With it you can add many other colour combos that match the team colours.
This page has fun  accents like punchinella, rubons and some pennants.
Sport pages can also have grungy looking masking using paint or gesso.

Another idea for colours is to go rustic and use deep colours.
Pop the photos then with mats that give then depth and colour.

There are many collections out there that are more patriotic than sports but when using only
specific pieces of a collection they make a perfect sports page. The one above is
Bo Bunny Liberty Collection. I used card stock base and only used a portion of the sunburst and the
banner is the outside only of the large scalloped paper.
Sports page are also great when using circles, stars, chevrons and arrows to mention a few.

Here is another sports page using a fussy Carta Bella Beautiful Moments Collection.
I fussy cut the banner and left the bird on it. Prints and tickets accents along
with some brads were a great base for the photos.

This page is using the grey, white and black combo... except I added the print patterned paper on
half only and used washi tape to separate the sections. The punched border gives
added texture and colour  along with some brads .. ...
and this page actually has some soccer stickers and title.
This whole page is really rather plain overall... but the photos pop.

On this page I actually found some sports paper but still went with the many
layers for colour and depth. The large title and added # and again
I backed the page with some textured gesso, some punchinella and
added brads and small accents. Corrugated accents are another
great sports accent. I had some that are arrows, stars and pennants to chose from.

Now here is a mixed combo .. some green grass for sports but an plain complimentary
page.  Through the centre I used a black n white polka dot that looks great.
To pop some photos use the matting and colour.
This page I did use some themed stickers that are for specific sports.

And  last but not least.. here is an all cardstock background which holds its own
with some fun design and colours. The photo frames are a great touch.

Sure hope you enjoyed all the suggestions and that you are inspired to try some of
the fun and easy things  to create all those sports pages.

Absolutely LOVE these sports pages... especially the Soccer pages... as I was a huge soccer mom fan when our son played.
