Practical Scrappers and Pinterest Inspirations

At Practical Scrappers today we share Pinterest items to share that inspire us.
I used vellum and cut cricut flowers which i embossed, leaves and accented them with stickles.
I added twine tied buttons for centres.
I ink stamped the stems, added a twine flight path for the butterfly and
the great sentiment is SRM Stickers matted and some white lines.
My card above was inspired by the card below:

Practical Scrappers and Special Feature today is " SPORTS "

Hi ... At Practical Scrappers today I am sharing some  ideas on creating SPORTS pages.
When you do so many for so many different sports it becomes more difficult to come up with papers, accents and overall ideas to start your pages. There also is limited amounts of paper and accents out there for purchase. I have 4 grand kids that all play more than 2 sports so I hope some of the tricks I share will help you with your sports pages too.

The page above started with official background papers .. one side had a soccer ball and net and the other is just green grass. I then used cricut to cut lots of sports titles and #.

Black n white with grey is always an universal colour to base your page regardless
of the team colours and the sport.

This page is hockey oriented but I didn't use sport paper but a fun
guy coloured plaid and accent colours.

Kraft base with all sports is always and option.
With it you can add many other colour combos that match the team colours.
This page has fun  accents like punchinella, rubons and some pennants.
Sport pages can also have grungy looking masking using paint or gesso.

Another idea for colours is to go rustic and use deep colours.
Pop the photos then with mats that give then depth and colour.

There are many collections out there that are more patriotic than sports but when using only
specific pieces of a collection they make a perfect sports page. The one above is
Bo Bunny Liberty Collection. I used card stock base and only used a portion of the sunburst and the
banner is the outside only of the large scalloped paper.
Sports page are also great when using circles, stars, chevrons and arrows to mention a few.

Here is another sports page using a fussy Carta Bella Beautiful Moments Collection.
I fussy cut the banner and left the bird on it. Prints and tickets accents along
with some brads were a great base for the photos.

This page is using the grey, white and black combo... except I added the print patterned paper on
half only and used washi tape to separate the sections. The punched border gives
added texture and colour  along with some brads .. ...
and this page actually has some soccer stickers and title.
This whole page is really rather plain overall... but the photos pop.

On this page I actually found some sports paper but still went with the many
layers for colour and depth. The large title and added # and again
I backed the page with some textured gesso, some punchinella and
added brads and small accents. Corrugated accents are another
great sports accent. I had some that are arrows, stars and pennants to chose from.

Now here is a mixed combo .. some green grass for sports but an plain complimentary
page.  Through the centre I used a black n white polka dot that looks great.
To pop some photos use the matting and colour.
This page I did use some themed stickers that are for specific sports.

And  last but not least.. here is an all cardstock background which holds its own
with some fun design and colours. The photo frames are a great touch.

Sure hope you enjoyed all the suggestions and that you are inspired to try some of
the fun and easy things  to create all those sports pages.

Practical Scrappers - July feature with ME - Twine and Homemade Flowers

Hi Bev here today at Practical Scrappers. I am excited to do my 1st feature
to share with you. Over time I have learned to make many
flowers to add to my pages and here is just another one but
with so much twine available today here is my florals with added twine.

The above photo shows on the left the twine florals  that I purchased
and on the right are the florals I made that were inspired by the others.
All different sizes and layers.... added twine and some buttons.
Twine on the bottom, middle, on top or through the buttons..
so many amazing options.
Supply list:
Paper & accents: Momenta PA 2382, ST 4741, ST 4751
Bling: Prima
Title Stickers: Carta Bella
Other: twine, paint, washi tape, buttons, ink

I took it one further on this layout with more integrate punched bases, fun
twine around and through along with the centre french knots on one.
They made a great cluster here with added buttons and bling.

This piece was much larger with single base and twine
and put a metal button on the centre.

On this section is a circle cut with a large centre circle cut out so I
could wind the twine around and around until it filled the full circle.

And this section I am sharing to show the twine flight path and the twine bow
that was tied around the matted piece behind my photo.

Thanks for joining me today and hope you'll try this method
of making your  own twine florals. So easy and it allows
you to match to your paper collection.

Practical Scrappers and Card Sketch

Today Practical Scrappers has this fun coloured sketch to create from. I made the card above
turning the cardstock horizontal but following the sketch up and down.
I used Carta Bella stash to make this card.

Up close you can see the fun Kreaxions Punch #310 border, accent border on top with
Robin's Nest dew drops, a doodled sentiment with dew drops, some wrapped twine and
the super cute layered and popped bird accent.

Practical Scrappers and Double Page Layouts

Today at Practical Scrappers we are sharing Double Page Layouts.
I love making doubles. This was not exact but inspired from Jenessa Franco.
Double are really easy if you remember only a few things......
Flow from left to right.....
some accents the same on both sides ....
some accents and or papers the go from left to right...
that's so easy but a great start.

I used Momenta Paper Collection PA 2382, fussy cut florals for accents and added
a banner with twine added, some pop up floral stickers, added a punched border and
some fabulous bling.

The base flows from left to right.. and the print sheet is off centre on both sides of double.
More floral fussy cuts with pops ups and bling.
On both sides I also added the too cute circular photos.

Up close of cluster so you can see the details.

Banner is just a strip from the Momenta paper .. slice the panels, cut the bottom "V" cuts
and add the twine with curl at the centres of each.

Close up of the other sides floral cluster.

This close up is to show how even small circular photos can be added to a page.
