Project 12 for 2014

Well it's that time of year at the Turtle Soup when Lisa Moen shares her sketches to
play along with her making the start to Project 12 Album for 2014.
Above is my cover page .. and today she shared the January sketch which is amazing.

Using her sketch I make the double page sharing my January photos for 2014.

I have lots to share this month.. January games of hockey and mom's 83rd birthday at home in
Canada.. the Winter Freeze in January all over the Northern of America and the we traveled to Florida
where we went boating and got great dolphin and birds photos and we also went to Pepper Beach to see the youngsters surfing contest.

In the close up you can see the masking, layers, clusters and fun Creative Embellishment accents.

This close up shares lots of fun stickers, more Creative Embellishment accents, punchinella, brads, year using SRM stickers and another layers cluster.
I used kate &co by My Minds Eye.
I am also using this as a submission to Creative Embellishments February Challenge to use the inspirational
photo to share a project.. I used the masking as inspiration... but used CE products also..

Project 12 - Captured Memories

I am still very excited to play along with Project 12 and with the inspiration
of the fabulous sketch by Lisa Moen  the  page especially doubles are
turning out fabulous. I used Momenta in all great shades of grey, white and touch of black
and white... because with so many photos that had so many bold colours
I wanted them to stand out  but blend into the papers.
I added some bold pop of red in title and matting  along with some brads
to pop on my page too.

I have so many grandkids playing sports but like to highlight them on my monthly pages.

Mother's Day fell in May so got some really good group photos to share this month.

I had fun matting and popping the title with burst of red and handcutting the shaped mats.

Lots of fun accents.. brads, stickers, cut accents off paper sheets, washi tape
and the sub titles are a great way to separate and announce the themes.

Thanks for stopping by and hope my monthly Project 12 pages inspire you to make
some of these for yourself... if you haven't started yet there is still
lots of time to catch up... happy scrapping.

SWAT Challenge #8

SWAT Challenge #8 hosts a sketch by Becci Manies .. see below.
I had to turn it sideways and flip it over to use the sketch. I fully intended to
make a double page layout and started on the left side with Becci's sketch.
Be sure to stop by the blog and see what the DT has to reveal.

Below is my finished doulbe. I was working on 1 of 3 April Project 12 themed pages.
This month was so busy and has so many things happen 1 double wasn't going to
get the job done.... (be sure to stop by and see the other 2 doubles when they are done).

On this double I share events both in Florida before we left and  also the things we came home to.
I start with our fun luncheon at Archie's Bike Bar... they have such
cool accent and decorating pieces around the facility.
Inside the place the walls have many license plates from all states and countries.
Down at the Fort Pierce water front we saw this amazing huge fish caught
and the pelicans sit on the local docked vessels.
I also share a photo weeks after the wild fires we were evacuated
from and it shows how bad it really was.
Lastly is the 2 photos of the Ice Storm we came home to
with major flooding, power outages for 14 hours or more and with
no heat after being in Florida.. we were freezing.

Below are some close up and I'll share what I used.

On this section I used cork board, some fun metal shapes and
added more fun bold bright cardstock pennants.
The title is thickers but also some fun scrabble board letters.

Making sure the fun bold colouring stretched across the double  prompted
this small twine header banner. I thought the colours were just
a little too bold so I stamped the image on them all.

In this section I continued across the double with twine and again added
some more fun and bold stamped coloured arrows touched off with a metal piece.
Also the fun bold description journal tags carry the
colour scheme across the double page too.

Project 12 April 2013

Project 12 for April 2013 is expanding into at least 3 double pages. There was just too
many things to celebrate and share for this month.
On this double I share some gymnastics, diving and my scrapbooking crop.

I used Momenta PA #2383 paper, some SRM Stickers. Jillibean Soup corrigated
accents, washi tape, buttons, twine, ribbon, brads and lots of Kreaxions Circle Cut accents.

I used this fab sketch by Jenessa F Franco.

Here is my double page put together. The only main thing to remember when you
make doubles is to use some of the same colours, accents etc to draw
your vision across from one side to the other with flow.
I used the base background, the border accent, lots of circles and
2 opposite corners have washi tape. Accent clusters both have circles, jillibean soup
corrugated accents and some ribbons on both sides

Here are some close ups of the clustered sections.

I have one more Project 12 in the making and will share when it's done and ready for posting.

Project 12 for April 2013

My Scraps and More Project 12 is lead by my dear friend Lisa Moen and  she
has been making some fabulous sketches for this monthly challenge.
This is only going to be 1 of 3 this month because too much to document.
This double is the high school sports that the 2 girls played.

This side is the soccer page..

and this is the rugby side.
Lots of action shots to share from the games we get to go to.

Up close this section shows great action photos which I accented with Punchinella,
matting and SRM Stickers for title and stitches.

This section has some vellum layers and lots of SRM stickers from the Soccer collection.

Lots of fun colours, layers, circle and soccer ball border and red brads.

SRM Stickers for the title and stitching.. fades slightly into the dark green but love it.

Large fun bright chipboard month with smaller journal strips to designate the theme of
this great double page Project 12 page.

This section uses more SRM sports stickers that are just  perfect for rugby.

Lots of fun matting and a touch of punchinella finish off this section.
