Birthday Bash Hat.. using Kreaxions punch and Paper House

DSCF9666 r

So this week we were celebrating and a challenge was to make a hat for the Turtle Birthday Bash.
So above is my hat.. I used lots of fun bright colours, lots of flowers, dew drops,  ribbon and the paper is Paper House garden paper mix.. but it was missing something.. so I got out my Just Imagine Crafts/ Kreaxions Punch # 922 to have a border all around it. It was the perfect finishing touch.
So when your creating and things look like something is missing.. grab those punches.. they are so versitile and look awesome.
Now for the 2nd part of the challenge.. to share a photo of us wearing our creation.. so here is mine.

Loving the Outdoors with Robin's Nest Lodge Collection

Hi  today I am using this amazing Lodge Collection has been awesome this month.
It's fabulous for so many outdoor pages....
whether it's camping, hunting or just doing a rustic outdoors page.
First I will detail the background cut accents.... but don't miss viewing the many amazing
layers using the wide variety of colours, glitters, prints, plaids and fun stripes.

I am using my A Cutt Above cut files to make the background circles.
When cutting some of these great files you can use the positive and
the negative section as an accent on your pages.

This detail photo above shows the positive cut ..
then taking the fall away pieces I arranged
them on the lower left setion. (see below photo)

This photo gives a better view of the great layers, fun accents..
some clustered accents and the fun inked edges and some stitching.
The extra corrugated corner border is added to show a touch more texture.

This section highlights the amazing sticker and the accented paper straw.

 Multi tasking with this project:

Linnie Bloom and fabulous canvas shapes

OMG ..my first ever real canvas attempt... sure hope you like it.
It all started with canvas shapes from Linnie Blooms... and
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these really cool canvas trees and leaves.

I started with a 8 1/2"x 12" canvas from the dollar store.
I used paint strips on the background to start.
Then I mask with gesso for more texture and then added more paint splatter.
Next I used Paper House papers.. plywood and  pine forest... rustic and ripped
it and edges with ranger ink.
More layers with some burlap, strip of cork and a section of Creative Embellishments accent.
Phot was placed under the accent a bit and the
painted trees cover the base of the photo also.

I put a cute rubon on a piece of paper, ribbed and inked and applied
to top right corner of all the layered textures.
I added and metal accent and a twine tied metal keys accent.
In the top upper left corner I inked the leaves, doodled spines and added buttons.

Using Cricut I cut the title "best memories".

Be sure to visit Linnie Blooms blog and store.. amazing craeative
projects to inspire you.. and give you fab hints on how to use all
the fabulous canvas shapes and many other unique accents.

Up next is my  project using the Lodge Collection  on a fun card for a friend.

There isn't a day goes by that I don't forget what a friend means to our lives.
This card is perfect for any occasion that you want to tell a friend that they mean so much to you.
I actually started this card with the friends sentiment and the chipboard.
From there I chose the Robin's Nest paper for the background and now it needed some pop.. what better than a punched border using Kreaxions punch #310 and also the fall away piece...
so one on the top and bottom of the card.
In the middle you find the other Robin's Nest paper ripped and inked matted background, the fabulous sentiment and some fun chipboard accented with stickles and liquid pearls.
It was still missing something.. and what better than some added twine.

Up next is .. a super fun and cute bookmark.
I used the Lodge Collection for this.
Sometimes it's really hard to work on such a small space and get the job done.. but this
came together pretty good.. hope you like it as much as I do.
The background is Wrap Glitter Cardstock then on the left side is a border of Forest Trees Specialty Paper
and then using the Outdoors Stickers  I added the circles to right border.. and then
on top of the base I added the cut out tree from the stickers, the Creative Embellishment heart and also the fun the view tab sticker.

Just Imagine Crafts July DT Reveal

July DT Reveal at Just Imagine Crafts today is Summer, Vacation or Sunny Day.
I found these cottage photos that we perfect for the themes. Wanted the papers to be fun and bright.
There were so many differrent layers and pieces I decided to base it with a huge circular ring cut with Kreaxons Circle Cutter.... so easy but the perfect touch for this page.

This amazing circle cutter cuts up to 10" on a very small  surface making it easy to cut anywhere.

It also is light weight, compact for traveling and comes with replacement blades
and you can add lead pencil to trace things also.

Check out the BLOG to view what the rest of the DT has to reveal today.
