Practical Scrappers and Pinterest Inspiration

Hi.. At Practical Scrappers today we are sharing things from Pinterest the Inspired us.
I was inspired by this Doodle/Zentangle sample
I created my page starting with the background  doodled on  the white cardstock.

... I then proceeded to add regular elements on top of the base inspired background.

I used Momenta Product to make this page .. and
added some more doodling, twine and fun layers.

In this section you see the stitches corner arrows and part of the inspiration doodling.

Here the doodling is more predominate.. the twine accent and other
Momenta accents and cute title.

More doodling , lots of accents and more sub titles.

Supply List:
Paper: Momenta 17376
Stickers and Titles: Momenta ST 1767, ST 4751
Other: twine, stitching and lots of Doodled/Zentangle accents

Colorful Creations + Twist

Colorful Creations is sharing my sketch today with a twist "Paint". The cute page above is my sample using Momenta Product.  I popped up lots of sticker accents, added some doodled lines and stitches and the base was started with 3 colours of paint splatter.

I love doodling with sketches and for those that know me.. I love the coloured sketches.
I think  that the seasoned scrapper will ignore the colours and step out of their box to make and create whatever they want.. BUT the beginner who is intimated by sketches might not only grab the sketch but maybe be influenced to by the colouring and maybe even the accents... and this is all good in the learning process. A sketch is anything you want and need it to be.. so have fun and create.

My Scraps and More and Card Sunday

Today at My Scraps and More we are celebrating the men in our lives by
getting some Father's Day cards ready.
This really easy but cute design is perfect for those guys in your life.
I used a 4x8" cardstock base... and folded it down to 4x4".
On the top left and right side you cut to centre about 1/2" at about the
1/2" down from the top of fold.
You then fold the outer corner on a slight slant down until the peaks touch.
I added brad accents to the corner of the collar part.
Next is the tie and pocket which I actually just winged it for shape and size.
On the top of the tie and pocket I had them a bit long so folded
them down to leave a nice layered look.
Finishes on the card are SRM Sticker sentiment and corner accent.
I used Basic Grey 6x6" pad of paper to decorate the base.

Here are a few sites that gave me some inspiration and help creating this card.

On the inside I added some matching coloured layers and border and
then matted a mix of SRM Stickers and misc other to
say Happy Father's Day and cute flower trim.
Join us and play along.. I'd love to see what you make.

Hi ... this week Let's Capture our Memories is sharing a Card Sketch.. it
however is my privilege to be making a Layout this time.

added a upper right corner element. I also used Basic Grey's 6x6 paper pad on the page.

Fun layers of papers, cute accents which include a felt flower, some twine
and a metal accents.

Use some natural colours on this page so made sure to grab some
burgundy /red accents to brighten it up.

Practical Scrappers and a Card Sketch

Today I join the Practical Scrappers using the great card sketch below.
With all the guys in my family and Father's Day coming up
I thought I'd make a masculine card.
I used fun papers, some kites and paper with a bike on it.
It was perfect. Following the sketch I blocked the front piece and
added the kites.

On these 2 other photos you can see the different sections of the
card .. I love playing with many styles when making cards.
Lots of fun sections to decorate.. and I used SRM Stickers
outside and inside.

Just Imagine Crafts and Love is....

Hi Bev here again. I am filling in whenever needed and I
am totalling enjoying this opportunity to share with you
With this card I thought I would experiment with some different shapes
and see what I could do with them.
With all the fun curves it was possible to punch a whole
section of the punch but by turning it up side down to punch
I could see (within reason) where to punch a partial.
I used  Kreaxions #310 around the fun shaped outer
border for the copic coloured floral.
The sentiments are SRM Stickers which are one of my
new favourite things to use all the time.

Thanks for popping in.. and hope to see you again soon...

Just Imagine and a True Love Card

DSCF1310

Hi Bev here today with this fun True Love card.

When you have even a single floral punch there is so much you can still do with it. I used Kreaxions Punch #603 multiple times to go around the circular Kreaxions cut centre  and then did more punches in the corners too. I added a thin circular ring accent, matted the centre circle and added SRM Stickers and sentiments. Matting in print around the centre circle and a different dot paper on the outer corners was perfect. I used My Minds Eye Collection.

Here is a close up of the back of the paper with the centre circle to start... lines to section off and space placement of the punching .. and the corner markes also. This is really easy and there are stencils to help with this.

Robin's Nest DT Call

The Robin's Nest is having a DT Call and
I am excited to be submitting. At this time the only real
product of theirs I have is the clear dew drops but OMG I use them
all the time. They are so versatile on so many different themes and projects.
Today I am using them as an accent to some vellum fussy cut
floral accents and also for the centres of some stamped accents.

These are my grand kids and they make me smile... and
they are so precious to me. I love our sleep over
weekends with movies and popcorn.. and all
around fun time. The 4 of them get along really well
and enjoy spending time together.
This is one of those times that I had them all together and
made them pose for a group photo.
On this page I use Momenta Collection PA 0659.

To highlight some of my way to use dew drops ..
on this close up I stamped the images and put dew drops
in the centres and in the outer ring of the one stamped image.
Also notice the fun corner stitching.

This close up showcases the vellum fussy cut floral that I added  clear dew drop
accents to .Behind it I had misted, added a stitched accent in corner
and doodled the flight path of the butterflies.

Some other fun things I added are a larger Martha Stewart butterfly
that I added stickles to. The smaller butter fly punch is Kreaxions #604
and the circular rings are cut with Kreaxions Circle Cutter.
I added a cute twine tied bow done in double colours.

The title Grandchildren are Precious is stickers and on this close up you can also
see some of the machine stitching and the piece of twine added to the side of the photo.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you enjoyed
my Robin's Nest DT Call page that
I shared with you because I had fun creating it.

My Scraps and More Card Sunday

Sunday Cards at My Scraps and More
are really fun to share with you. It makes me look around for
some fun ways to share easy to make cards with you.

This card is an Origami Shadow Box and OMG it's so easy.
Here is the link I used to see how to make it,

The only part I followed was the main section.

Use a 4x4" square and fold into 4 sections.
Fold into the centre on all sides.
Now bring the tip to the outer edge.
Press down firmly on all the folds.
I used SRM Stickers for accent, border  and sentiments.
I embossed the lighter coloured mat and added stitching.
I used stash from my Authentique collection.

This is another close up so you can see the folds.
Sure hope you'll stop by My Scraps and More and share your card with me too.
