August Challenges

This layout above is made using my own sketch from below which I shared at the Scrapping Turtle. Play Hard is a fun soccer page with fun layers of paper.
On this layout I loved the scrap pieces and the stitching. The huge chipboard star accent set it off perfectly. I used Scrapbook Challenge August Scraplift Week #2 by Shannon. It is amazing.

Scrapbook Challenges has an amazing way of sharing the members work... the DT scraplift and share every week... the layouts are amazing and lifting from them is fabulous. The above layout is my lift for the one below Week #1 in August by Scarlette McGeeney . It has fabuous layers and great journaling strips.. love it.

At My Sketch World in August Sue's Challenge us out of town action and dots. This layout is an out of town soccer game with dot accents... how perfect is this.

Above layout has the five items... the yellow square paper, with pumpkin patch sign, the bat, the pumpkin and the orange piece of ribbon. This was so much fun... can't wait to see what everyone else does with it.

Cookin' Up Creation.. Science class, We Scrap Sketch, My Sketch World Challenge

Today is Tutorial Thursday ..and we are celbrating back to School.

So today at Cookin' Up Creations in Science Class we are discussing

Recycling and the environment.

So Scrappers get out those recycled items and make a layout.

On the layout above I used recycled Jellibean packaging, tattered black piece of (garbage) paper with distressing and the main piece today is the RECYCLED DRYER SHEET FLOWERS.

Also I used the We Scrap Sketch by Sue (below).

Here is the tutorial part of this post.

Take those used recycled Dryer Sheets. Cut them into different sized circles, spray with glimmer mist and dry, then edge with stickles and dry.... layer them and put a brad or accent through the centre and a fabulous Dryer Sheet Flower .. for your project. It is that easy.

Also My Sketch World with Cindy ... the challenge is to use an old photo.. so this one of Nana and Great Grand Daughter is perfect form 1996.

Here is another layout I made using the Dryer Sheet Flowers. They are perfect for so many layouts. Sure hope you'll give this a try.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday, We Scrap Sketch Challenge and Button Flowers

Good morning... sure hope your having a great day. Today at Just Imagine Crafts on this layout I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to make my circle background which I inked. Using Kreaxions Punch #307 I made my border and also used the same one to punch and make the too cute banner which I backed and added baker's twine. For accents I used rubons, brads .... and NO I didn't stitch on this one? The homemade button flowers are clustered and have some clustered rubons too.
Some close ups of the punch work. Definitely addes punch and detail to any layout.
This layout sketch is from We Scrap for Jen's Saturday Sketch Challenge July 30 which carried forward into August. It was perfect for these photos and the monochromatic look is fabulous.
Sure hope you enjoyed this today.. and have a great day.. hugs Bev
