Ann Butler Design Project - Journal Page

Amazing Journal Page

I Created this Amazing Journal Page  using lots of stamps, art screens and inks by Ann Butler. They were so easy to mix and match patterns to create an amazing background in the journal book.

This Jounal Book is being put together for my only Grand Son who is playing Hockey and going to school about 5 hours away from home. This is his first adventure away on his own and I thought a journal to compile some memories he left back home, some inspiring quotes to make his day when he is down and also to add his own notes etc to have memories of his time there

Video for your viewing:

Sure hope you enjoyed the video ... and maybe I gave you some ideas of what to do to create your own journal to send to those loved ones that are on their own for the first time.

Here are a few close views to showcase some details.

Step 1:

This photo shows the full double page from journal book after I finished stamping, stenciling and inking the complete background.

Step 2:

After the background is done and dries... you are now ready to mat the photos, die cut the hearts and "Smile" title and place them on the pages. Photos were cut down so finished size wouldn't cover the whole page/ or background.

Sympathy Cards at The Rubber Buggy

Hi today at The Rubber Buggy I am sharing some Sympathy cards. There are some fabulous dies out there that help make sympathy cards soft, elegant but send the reciever some heart felt wishes during this trying time.

Supply List:
Dies:  tutti 267 Fluttering Butterflies,   Tutti word set Sympathy, Memory Box 99735 Butterfly Spectacle (out of stock)
Ink: Tim Holtz Vintage Photo
Stamping tool: Sweet Petunia mini Misti,
Machine/ tools: Vagabond
Other: Cardstock, papers from my stash

For stamping I use Mini Misti and Tim Holz Distress inks. My favourite glue is beacon 3-in-1 for small and large pieces. (there is a nack to drawing a fine line with this glue .. practice makes it easier so keep trying)
When doing these type of cards pick soft colours, use some layers, pick soft accents (flowers, butterflies, birds etc) and keep them simple and elegant.

Thanks for stopping by... hope to see you again soon.... but in the mean time be sure to stop by the STORE where these items and so many others are available. Also take note of all the products that aren't carried in our regular local stores. ... AND the service is A1.

"Moments" Creative Embellishments with clusters

Hi it's Bev here as GDT for Creative Embellishments. I am sharing a "Moments" page using a photo of the 2 youngest Grand Children and they actually posed and smiled for this photo.... LOL. I am using a sketch from Sketch n Scrap, some Kaiser Craft paper and lots of Creative Embellishments naked chipboards.

I started this page using the sketch to get the layers started.
I then added the diamond panel to the layers and background for the photo.

To accent the other corners of the page I worked some triangles into the clustered sections with flowers and inspiration tag from paper collection.
The Small Moments Border Word Set chippie was a bit wide so I cut the side accents off to make it work.

Here is a close up of the other clustered corner. Super fun mix of accents all matching the main page.
Thanks for stopping by.... be sure to visit the STORE to view these and so many other amazing products ... Chipboards, Stencils, Stamps and Flair Buttons.
