My Scraps and More Sketch submission.

My Scraps and More had a Sketch DT call using the sketch below.. so i created the page above for
my submission. I had to flip and play with the sketch to accommodate more photos... and love the way it turned out. Congrats to all the new Sketch DT ... maybe next time I'll try again.

Hi back again to add MSM sketch #66 from the blog.. sure enjoyed playing with this sketch today.

I had to flip things to accommodate the bigger vertical photo... I had fun punching, layering, ink rolling, splattering, using stickers, washi tape, rubons and added some twine, brads and 3D accents.

1st day of School

Today I played with My Scraps and More challenge to use those school photos..
and used the Blog Sketch #65  below.

I found photos in my stash I brought with me.. but no school paper.. so had to improvise using the Kraft #'s and rulers and adding the rest in accents.
Cricut cut title and fun doodling.

Loving all the fun layered clusters of today.. used one in the upper left corner. Notice the  doodling around
the outer edges of the ruler paper.

This close up highlights the black board effect and the #'s and alphabet.
Thanks for stopping by.. check out the My Scraps and More forum and Sketch blog... lots
of inspiration there to motivate you.

acting so CRAZY multi tasking page

Multi Tasking today..
using the great sketch from Wendi Robinson below for the My Scraps and More Sketch Blog challenge,
the Turtle Soup use cardstock only challenge
and also the My Scraps and More challenge to use the word "Crazy" .
Above is my fun page... stamping, masking, doodling, punching, matting, embossing and lots of layers.
Then add some fun accents and my cute Crazy page is done.

Close up show the details better. Masking with gesso, punched and layered clustered border, Title cut using cricut plus some stickers, stamping, glossy accent doodled dots and doodled stitching too.
Also used some punchinella and Creative Embellishment gear accents... and the corner has washi tape trim.

Lots of stamping to accent plain cardstock, embossed cardstock, fun little tab and made the cute
twine circle accent to centre the large stamped dotted circles.
Multi tasking was great fun.. got lots of challenges done all in 1 LO page... and I love it.
Hope you do too?

Back to School

DSCF2675 resized

We celebrate the August DT REVEAL with the back to school theme. I decided to share a special double page layout without photos that is for a gift album.
Kreasions Punches used are #923 with no inserts on the black cardstock borders... and on the red cardstock is Kreaxions  Punch #307 with no insert on the left side and on the right side it's the fall away piece.
Also I am using this in a multi tasking challenge at My Scraps and More (main #9) to use a 10 item list or journaling. This I did by using the white signo pen listing subects. It worked out so perfectly.

My Scraps and More and Card Sunday

Today at My Scraps and More we are celebrating the men in our lives by
getting some Father's Day cards ready.
This really easy but cute design is perfect for those guys in your life.
I used a 4x8" cardstock base... and folded it down to 4x4".
On the top left and right side you cut to centre about 1/2" at about the
1/2" down from the top of fold.
You then fold the outer corner on a slight slant down until the peaks touch.
I added brad accents to the corner of the collar part.
Next is the tie and pocket which I actually just winged it for shape and size.
On the top of the tie and pocket I had them a bit long so folded
them down to leave a nice layered look.
Finishes on the card are SRM Sticker sentiment and corner accent.
I used Basic Grey 6x6" pad of paper to decorate the base.

Here are a few sites that gave me some inspiration and help creating this card.

On the inside I added some matching coloured layers and border and
then matted a mix of SRM Stickers and misc other to
say Happy Father's Day and cute flower trim.
Join us and play along.. I'd love to see what you make.

My Scraps and More Card Sunday

Sunday Cards at My Scraps and More
are really fun to share with you. It makes me look around for
some fun ways to share easy to make cards with you.

This card is an Origami Shadow Box and OMG it's so easy.
Here is the link I used to see how to make it,

The only part I followed was the main section.

Use a 4x4" square and fold into 4 sections.
Fold into the centre on all sides.
Now bring the tip to the outer edge.
Press down firmly on all the folds.
I used SRM Stickers for accent, border  and sentiments.
I embossed the lighter coloured mat and added stitching.
I used stash from my Authentique collection.

This is another close up so you can see the folds.
Sure hope you'll stop by My Scraps and More and share your card with me too.

Project 12 for April 2013

My Scraps and More Project 12 is lead by my dear friend Lisa Moen and  she
has been making some fabulous sketches for this monthly challenge.
This is only going to be 1 of 3 this month because too much to document.
This double is the high school sports that the 2 girls played.

This side is the soccer page..

and this is the rugby side.
Lots of action shots to share from the games we get to go to.

Up close this section shows great action photos which I accented with Punchinella,
matting and SRM Stickers for title and stitches.

This section has some vellum layers and lots of SRM stickers from the Soccer collection.

Lots of fun colours, layers, circle and soccer ball border and red brads.

SRM Stickers for the title and stitching.. fades slightly into the dark green but love it.

Large fun bright chipboard month with smaller journal strips to designate the theme of
this great double page Project 12 page.

This section uses more SRM sports stickers that are just  perfect for rugby.

Lots of fun matting and a touch of punchinella finish off this section.

Sunday Card Challenge at My Scraps and More

Hi and welcome to Sundays Card Challenge at My Scraps and More .. I thought it would be fun to give you a few options today.. to have fun, create and share with us today. In my card below I used some fun things: woodgrain paper, added a SRM calendar, fuzzy cut and pop up, used the border band off the cut off the bottom portion of the main paper, added twine and matted a SRM sentiment.

I thought the twist today would be to make any themed card but you must use at least 2 of the 6 ideas that I added to my card... and share any others that you add to it.. so we can be inspired by yours too.
Here is my close up view

Hope you'll join us at My Scraps and More....add your finished card to the gallery and link to the forum challenge. Would love to see your creation.

My Scraps and More Spring into Summer Crop

My Scraps and More is celebrating Spring into Summer with a Crop.
I made 2 cards for the challenges.. one for Spring and one for Summer.
This one (above)  is to represent springtime in the gardens and flowers.

I made a slightly different but easy base to share on this one.
Start with a 4" x 12" card base.
Score at the 4" and 8" mark.
On the front panel cut the diagonal line from one corner to the opposite corner.
Now how easy is that.
Decorate as you like except now make the floral accents.

Supply List:
2 - 4  floral stems
Lace or ribbon.. a good length for wrapping

On the left side of the above photo is my chosen cluster and I twisted the
wires to hold the flowers in place. Also you cut the wire to desired length.

In the above photo you can see I tied a know near the top under the flowers
and left enough ribbon length to be able to tie a bow.
You take the long end then and wind it around and around down to the bottom of the wire.
You then start back up the stem the same way to the top again.

At the top you then tie a small but too cute bow to finish off your cluster of flowers.
It is ready to mount on any project.

**************************************

For the summer my card was created with over the rainbow in mind.....
and my challenge is to use the fun bold bright colours of the rainbow to create with.

I used layers of Kreaxions Punch #920 with and without insert.
I made a circular SRM sentiment and added a circular ring.
Under it I added some SMR border sticker.
Also I added scalloped SRM sticker left over pieces.. they are thin but
are a perfect touch to any border element.

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge for today used the
fun and colourful My Minds Eye - the sweetest thing collection.
I started with a kraft cardstock to make my base.
As you know this month I have been sharing some easy designs
to make cards so you can learn to change it up when creating.
The kraft base is 10"w x 7"h.
Fold or score down the 7" sides at the 2 1/2 " mark on either side to form
the flaps on the front of card to meet at the centre. That leaves  a 5" x 7" back base.
You then cut a front panel which is about 31/2" x 5" and you only glue 1/2 of it to the front of the left side.

You can decorate it anyway you like.. but if your interested in doing the matting in layers ..
just be sure to cut each layer just slightly smaller than the previous piece.
To accent my card I added some twine, popped up the sentiment and added
the brad and chipboard accent.
The twist to my challenge is to make this card or your own choice
of card and add some layers like above or any kind of layers and add a brad.
We would love to see you join us and play along.
