Memorable Seasons GDT Challenge

I am back again this month at Memorable Seasons.. using Carta Bella and So Noted
collection and today's challenge is to use at least 3 ribbon treatments on your page.
On my sample above I did 3 easy things...
1. tied a knot in the end of the ribbon
2. looped a background ribbon and add a separate bow tied ribbon in front of it
3. added and glued ribbon across a banner top

We are using pinterest this month as inspiration and here are some examples
that I found using ribbon on scrappy pages.

Some other ideas for using ribbon are:
4. gather ribbon
5. make a rolled floral ribbon flower (above)
6. twist and loop ribbon to make a border.
7. pleat ribbon
8. ribbon pennants
.......... and I am sure you know many more ways .......
so we would love for you to join us at Memorable Seasons to create and share with us.

Memorable Seasons Challenge with Floral Tutorial

I made this card above with my Memorable Seasons Carta Bella  - So Noted Collection.
I had fun with the inked layers, punched border
and mounted my floral cluster on a tag base.

This month we are drawing inspiration from pinterest...

and these 2 samples are what inspired me to make my cluster.
So my challenge is to make a project that has a clustered floral accent on it.
Follow my instructions below or surprise us with a new version.

The ones below are really easy to make and hopefully my instructions will be clear
and easy enough to convince you to try and make some too.

My technique for putting together this cute cluster and adding the ribbon or lace
to cover the stems and finish with a loop or bow is below with photos.

Supply List:
2 - 4  floral stems
Lace or ribbon.. a good length for wrapping

On the left side of the above photo is my chosen cluster and I twisted the
wires to hold the flowers in place. Also you cut the wire to desired length.

In the above photo you can see I tied a knot near the top under the flowers
and left enough ribbon length to be able to tie a bow.
You take the long end then and wind it around and around down to the bottom of the wire.
You then start back up the stem the same way to the top again.

At the top you then tie a small but too cute bow to finish off your cluster of flowers.
It is ready to mount on any project.

Thanks for stopping by, check it out at Memorable Seasons and play along with
my challenge so you can share with us and come back Thursday for my other challenge.

Memorable Seasons GDT Reveal for April

OMG ... Look at the fabulous Cara Bella - So Noted Collection
that I was privileged to create with at Memorable Seasons as GDT this month.

Even the flip sides and accents I was given are the best.
Such a great mix of colours some soft and some bright and bold.

I was also given the chance to order a few more pieces that made it fun to play with.
AND here are some of my projects that I am thrilled to share with you.

First I started with the very dark cardstock, lots of layers and had fun popping with red.
Fun stamping, punches, lots of inked edges and added some brads

On this piece I went very much lighter in layers and played with some ribbon accents.
More details later this month with a challenge for you to play along.

On this last layout I was looking to keep it an open white space page..
but needed to base it by adding paint done over a circular stencil with some added dots.
I still used layers, punches, floral with bling and some fun twine and shaped buttons.

This card was easy enough with lots of scraps from the collection.
Punched a border, fussy cut the pennant from the accent sheet. Layered some colours
and then made a floral cluster to add to the tag as the main piece using
flowers and a piece of lace. Lots of inked edges to pop everything.

**********************************

I also would like to take time and share the mini album I made using the
same Collection and some of the accents off the accent sheet.
The silver base you see is Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber.

I order to keep the centre a little thinner so it wouldn't pop open so
much I put a run of paint on all the centres and then added paper.

This page has a few more stickers and also punched the accent piece.

Each page is just a tad different to add some variety.

I will probably add a few more accents and trims when
I chose and apply the photos.

The back cover has a sticker from the collection and I fussy cut the bird from the paper.

This cute mini will be perfect on someone's coffee table on display.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you 'll  visit us at Memorable Seasons
because we all have some amazing challenges that we'd love to share with you.

Let's Get Sketchy

Let's Get Sketchy this week has a great sketch.(below)
After finding papers I had great fun making layers of blue water colours, and even darker navy circles to
showcase these stormy day waterfront photos.

Up close you can see some added accents:
Punchinella, brads and some SRM stickers for stitches and borders.

In this section I added Robin's Nest dew drops, SRM stickers and ribbon accents.
The Title was some cool fussy alpha from Fancy Pants to the Moon.
Love the finished look of this page and hope you do to.
Be sure to stop by and check what the DT had to reveal.... thanks

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge is to make this fun card.
We all make cards but so often forget to change up the shape or style and
there are so many easy things that you can do.

On this card I took the standard base and folded the front in half.
I then covered with 2 matching prints.
On the left side only I used Kreaxions circle cutter to take out a
small circular ring from the centre line to the bottom centre line.
That leave just a very small out ring which allows the card to fold
and pop out.. Really easy but just slightly different touch.

From there you accent to your choice.
I chose the fabulous Just Imagine Butterfly template which
I then punched with Kreaxions #301 in 3 different spots to add
texture and depth to the wings. A touch of stickles for sparkle and then
apply to the card.. glueing only half the wing down on the
right side so the left side swings free with the half circle ring.

On the upper section I also used Kreaxions punch # 604 smaller butterflies.
I added an inner ring to showcase the inner circle with the SRM sticker sentiment,
added some Robin's Nest dew drops and just a touch of doodled stitches.
So everyone out there.. I challenge you to make a card.. copy my design exactly or make your
own but spice up you cards with just an easy fun design.

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge with Tutorial

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge and

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge and Tutorial Video.

Tri Shutter cards are really so easy  to make.
Watch the video and print the instruction sheet to help you out along the way.

On the inside panels I used another sticker and then
added some washi tape strips.
The back I used twine and a banner with yet another sticker.

I had great fun decorating this one with a Twine circular accent.
Cut yourself a circular cardstock base.. add lots of glue to the base
and starting at the centre wrap the twine in a circle pushing it
down into the glue.. reapply more glue if it's drying to quickly when your working.
Trim off any access base if necessary. I mounted mine then on a
decoration piece and mounted on my card. T then doodles more accents, added
a sentiment and the front is done.

I challenge you to make a card following my instructions and then
to share with us. If you opt not to use this fun design I then challenge you to use
twine and washi tape on you project.
