Fall into Autumn

Lots of fun challenges to celebrate fall.

Here are a few to share with you.

Starting with this page..

On Just Imagine Crafts page I used Kreaxions Circle Cutter to cut the photo, mat it and

 add other circular accents on the page. I used this page also for a challenge

 at Cookin' Up Creations to create using many different shapes on your projects.

The background is stamped, chipboard sharps and some cute leaves.

Here are the close ups.

A mix of circles.

More circle rings and solid circles.

 Also added Kreaxions Punch #923 to add punched border accent.

This challenge at Turtle Soup suggested we use the word clustered accent on our page.

It was a perfect pennant with twine accent.

This double used fun background misting, masking and some paint.

Lots of fun layers with even a patch of burlap and old ripped book page.

On this side of the page the challenge included using some blackboard looking accent... so 

I cut a black accent and doodled using signo white gel pen.. and used a cute 

variegated jillibean soup owl.

Also this month I have been making some cute cards.

This challenge at Memorable Seasons was to take a shape....

 the acorn and rip papers to shape and fill the frame.

 I then added more layers to give more texture using 

variegated paper, some fun stitching and twine accent.

Cookin' Up Creations with Sketch and Sorry

Welcome to Sketchy Saturday and Sorry.

So in keeping with playing the game .. we'll use the sketch below and then be sure to add some shapes and the game piece colours ( red, green, blue, yellow) 

 and here is my sample page:

Stunning in All White plus 1

Even stunning all white pages look fabulous with punched accents and borders.

I am excited to share this with you today... and I am multi tasking.
Just Imagine Crafts and punches, Cookin' Up Creations Sketch Challenge  and
Memorable Seasons Challenge to use All White plus 1 in embellishments.

Below is the sketch:

Using the star template I made the doiley punching with Kreaxions #309...

and the border using the same punch.

In the upper corner I started with gesso background..

then made some layers and strips punching with  Kreaxions #309.

The other peak border to the left side here is punched with Kreaxions #920.

This close up shares the embossed section, the punched border

and the title cut with the cricut cartridge Gypsy Wanderings.

Vintage page and preserving History

Hi,  This is my Memorable Seasons Members Challenge for today

and I used 1 of my sketches and also the amazing
 Robin's Nest Animal Prints and Gina Design Accents
and my TWIST is to make some kind of vintage, heritage page using some older photos
and some fun old looking , type accents.
It is really amazing once you get going as to what you can do with these prints .. and
I didn't even use it for any animal  or nature layout pages.
Hope you like my page and are inspired by my sketch.

Super cute banner using Gina's Design product and added sticker letters and

I added a partial of a doily from Gina's Design also.

Lots of fun layers, shapes, mats and orders along with more
Gina's Design doilies and shapes with added Robin's Nest stone.

Amazing doilies all so different but beautiful, a single dew drop centre and
a fun twine tied metal key  makes a great accent.

Momenta, Echo Park and Paint and Gesso ..

Hi.. I have been playing with paint splatters and gesso.... what amazing backgrounds

you can make and you can chose your own colours. 

I really love using more than one colour that matches the 

rest of the paper that your using.

On this layout and the card I used Momenta collection.

The page above was a lift from Sally at Memorable Seasons the MOTM for June.

Up close you see paint splatter, some washi tape clustered in corner, some stickers sentiments

and also some white gel pen doodling.

In this section I used a cluster of wooden dollar store flowers, dot accents, a floral

border from Momenta and washi tape.

The upper cluster is wooden butterfly with a twine flight plan and s

some Momenta stickers.

This card was made for a challenge at Cookin' Up Creations to 

have a Banner on a Banner.... and Memorable Seasons Challenge Throw Down Appetizer.

Starting with the base of the banner for the card I used Momenta

paper and accents along with some corrigated cardboard and paint on the edges.

Also at Cookin' Up Creations they have the Birthday Bash going on and this page

is the challenge "Banquet" using recipe supplied to use.

Recipe I used is:

twine, distress, 3x4 photo, 2pp only, journal card 

and the bonus part is:

banner, brad, button, border, doodle, metal, chipboard, game piece, burlap, stitching and stencil 

AND over at Memorable Seasons June Challenge #3 was to have white space.

I love multi tasking.

On this page I used Echo Park mini kit "School Days".

Lots of fun layers to see in this page.

paint and gesso, varigated paper, burlap, chipboard, vellum distressed, 

stitching, twine, scrabble title, journal tag.......

and lots of fun elements.

Here is a border, buttons, stenciled shapes.

It took some effort to be sure to use all the ingredients but love the 

finished project.

Momenta and Memorable Seasons Challenge

Memorable Seasons has some fun monthly challenges and today

I share #5 - stash using those flowers you have hidden away.

Mine are wooden and from the dollar store but love

the bold bright fun colours.

Lifting the Memorable Season's MOTM.. my friend Lisa Moen

Memorable Seasons Challenge #3 is to lift the MOTM.. who just happens to be

my dear scrappy buggy... and her work is amazing and choosing only one

to lift was very hard.  Be sure to visit her in the gallery.

being the member of the month.. congrats Lisa.

 Below are some closeups of my page.

I love using gesso and also my punchinella...some of my newest 

medium and product.

I love the huge #'s on sports pages.

And when doing guy pages I love to get out my Jillibean Soup corrigated cardboard accents.

NSD & so many challenges to play along with

OMG I had a great NSD and didn't even realize how many challenges I played along with and I had so much fun.
I started with the double sports layouu.. and had fun with gesso and paint splatter.

On this page I punched a border, used washi tape and punchinella, added some brads and Love my SRM stickers and Title.

Here is the close ups.

This Challenge ask for us to use a different medium .... like pencil crayons, pens etc.. so I stenciled over plastic needlepoint circles using pencil crayons in the upper corner.... doodled or zentangled the Title letters and corners all with pencil crayons.

Some colour challenges wanted us to use the colours of the rainbow and some wanted the Triad combo of the colour wheel. It was really fun to think about colour and combos and so many options from the colour wheel.
The page above used Piggy Tales Collection and some fun chipboard accents.

I had this paper with GS's feet print for years now and have been waiting for the perfect paper Bo Bunny Blast Off Collection, colours

and additional photos to put with it and of course some cool guy accents and this is my only GS....

and we have 3 GD's.. which of course we love them all.

Really excited that we had a boy after 2 girls.

These cute space accents are so boy and were great for my all baby boy page.

This fun page wanted misting and the theme it's raining got me thinking about the photos of family in Florida when we ate out and it was raining.... and it was April of 2007 when these photos were take so Spring was in the air... and the SRM Stickers spring collection were perfect along with some stitches, a calendar and some doodles borders.. ( did I mention I love SRM stickers) and use them all the time now.
                              

I also love sunbursts and love adding them to my pages when it suits the theme.

Fun close ups of the Florida Vacation page. I popped up a few umbrellas for depth.
