Project 12 for 2014

Well it's that time of year at the Turtle Soup when Lisa Moen shares her sketches to
play along with her making the start to Project 12 Album for 2014.
Above is my cover page .. and today she shared the January sketch which is amazing.

Using her sketch I make the double page sharing my January photos for 2014.

I have lots to share this month.. January games of hockey and mom's 83rd birthday at home in
Canada.. the Winter Freeze in January all over the Northern of America and the we traveled to Florida
where we went boating and got great dolphin and birds photos and we also went to Pepper Beach to see the youngsters surfing contest.

In the close up you can see the masking, layers, clusters and fun Creative Embellishment accents.

This close up shares lots of fun stickers, more Creative Embellishment accents, punchinella, brads, year using SRM stickers and another layers cluster.
I used kate &co by My Minds Eye.
I am also using this as a submission to Creative Embellishments February Challenge to use the inspirational
photo to share a project.. I used the masking as inspiration... but used CE products also..

Just Imagine and a True Love Card

DSCF1310

Hi Bev here today with this fun True Love card.

When you have even a single floral punch there is so much you can still do with it. I used Kreaxions Punch #603 multiple times to go around the circular Kreaxions cut centre  and then did more punches in the corners too. I added a thin circular ring accent, matted the centre circle and added SRM Stickers and sentiments. Matting in print around the centre circle and a different dot paper on the outer corners was perfect. I used My Minds Eye Collection.

Here is a close up of the back of the paper with the centre circle to start... lines to section off and space placement of the punching .. and the corner markes also. This is really easy and there are stencils to help with this.

Thanks for stopping by today.. we would love for you to like us on Facebook and when we hit 275 we will have a single winner.

Sunday Card Challenge at My Scraps and More

Hi and welcome to Sundays Card Challenge at My Scraps and More .. I thought it would be fun to give you a few options today.. to have fun, create and share with us today. In my card below I used some fun things: woodgrain paper, added a SRM calendar, fuzzy cut and pop up, used the border band off the cut off the bottom portion of the main paper, added twine and matted a SRM sentiment.

I thought the twist today would be to make any themed card but you must use at least 2 of the 6 ideas that I added to my card... and share any others that you add to it.. so we can be inspired by yours too.
Here is my close up view

Hope you'll join us at My Scraps and More....add your finished card to the gallery and link to the forum challenge. Would love to see your creation.

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge

My Scraps and More Sunday Card Challenge for today used the
fun and colourful My Minds Eye - the sweetest thing collection.
I started with a kraft cardstock to make my base.
As you know this month I have been sharing some easy designs
to make cards so you can learn to change it up when creating.
The kraft base is 10"w x 7"h.
Fold or score down the 7" sides at the 2 1/2 " mark on either side to form
the flaps on the front of card to meet at the centre. That leaves  a 5" x 7" back base.
You then cut a front panel which is about 31/2" x 5" and you only glue 1/2 of it to the front of the left side.

You can decorate it anyway you like.. but if your interested in doing the matting in layers ..
just be sure to cut each layer just slightly smaller than the previous piece.
To accent my card I added some twine, popped up the sentiment and added
the brad and chipboard accent.
The twist to my challenge is to make this card or your own choice
of card and add some layers like above or any kind of layers and add a brad.
We would love to see you join us and play along.

Fun Things to share today

My Scraps and More Sunday Cards with Bev (yes that's me)... sure hope if you like cards and sketches to go with them that you'll take the time and visit and even play along and share with us... and a
chance for the monthly prize. The twist on this one today is to add stitching.
Lots of SRM stickers on this one.

This card I made for fun.. don't get to do that often with some many challenges due but had fun with the SRM stickers.. my newest craze right now.. they are amazing and so versatile.

Really would love to get these photos sized bigger and beside each other..
but for now here is a double pager I made using 2 different sketches from My Scraps and More.
Used My Minds Eye - Kraft Funday.
Did I tell you they are having a sketchathon this month. It has been great fun and
really inspirational with sketches, samples and fun twists.

Here is another double page layout using different sketchathon twist challenges.
Used Fancy Pants - to the Moon.
OMG not sure how the photos got together because I didn't do it.. and can't get the ones above
to do this either. Would love to figure this all out some day.

\

Robins' Nest dew drops are a perfect accent for any water themed project.

The above are 2 more fun pages.. I enjoyed each one using different sketches and
loved the bottom one because I used washi tape strips for background and corner.

Thanks for viewing my mix of projects today... hope your having a great weekend.
