Practical Scrappers biggest contest ever

Practical Scrappers is having an amazing Challenge with fabulous prizes
Our biggest contest EVER! Come join in!
We're going to be hosting a huge card making contest.
Here's the details:
-Anyone can participate - we're even letting our designers participate
-For the first round you are to create a card with pink on it and send it to us via email by 11:59 pm ET on September 30th. We will pick a number of finalists (we can't give you a specific number because the more people who participate the more finalists we will pick) and announce the finalists on World Cardmaking Day - October 1st.
-You may submit up to three cards for the first round.
-The next topic will be announced and those crafters will continue on. The only major difference is that from this round on readers will get to vote for their favorite cards in an anonymous fashion (American Idol style elimination). The determination of the winner in the final round will either be judged by the PS administrative team or voting - we reserve the right to determine this at a later date.
-The contest will end in early November with the winner receiving a $25 Robin's Nest Gift Certificate, goodies from several of manufacturer sponsors, a kit from Scraptastic, and maybe even more...we're working to make this one awesome prize worth at least $75.00!

Multi Tasking for September

I...Inking (stamping with ink)Layout. I used the sentiment stamp.. It is perfect for these fun MSW ladies. I used a pagemaps sketch because of the tickets.. I just so happened to do a share in the mail to get these tickets... it was perfect.
This also was a challenge at Scrapping Turtle.. 5 thing recipe (ribbon, buttons, stitch, ink, something on the photo). Yes I did.. I multi tasked.

J... Jewels Card. Using the Lucy Sept Card Sketch I had fun with some elements on this one.. felt, ribbon, epoxy title, fun papers and BLING jewels.K...Keep it Simple Layout. A recipe (1pp, 1cs, 1font title, 1 journal spot, no more than 3 embellies)
I journaled lots in this one.. it was part of a challenge at Cookin' Up Creations to journal and use the quote "dream as if you'll live forever".
Using the recipe there are only 3 varigated cardboard embellies, very little paper, tag sentiment, lots of photos and a doodle.
L...Little Banner Card. I used Lucy's September Card sketch again.. can you tell I loved it. Changed it up and added the little banner.. It was perfect.

So much more to share.. and multi tasking

E...Extended Family Layout. So we continue at MSW with the ABC crop. On this layout I used a puzzle piece looking background, tied ribbon to make a banner, stitched added bling and cute chipboard letters. So with multi tasking here I used a Cookin' Up Creations sketch and banner.
F...Four things (flowers, different fonts, fringe(ribbon), fall colours) also 4 F things. Used and Easel Card again.. love the look of them and just too easy to make.
G...Gratitude. This layout is to celebrate my time with my MSW scrappy friends at the Houston 1st ever Crop. I am so grateful for their friendship and support. Also at Cookin' Up Creations on Inspiration Sunday there was to use a collage challenge .. so it was perfect to use so many great photos of the girls.
H...Hearts ( and NO red ones). I found this amazing and fun pink papers with lots to pink hearts. I added some silver gray matting, some cute ribbon and a rub on title and I have a cute card for the ABC crop.

MY SKETCH WORLD.. ABC CROP CHALLENGE

OMG I have been so busy scrapping the ABC's at the My Sketch World Crop that I forgot.. NO didn't have time to post here on my blog .. So today I am going to share so many amazing things with you. During the crop it alternates from layout to card everyday. Every letter has a theme and we are given fabulous examples from our gallery to inspire our creations.

A... Arrows Layout. (I used Lucy's Sept layout sketch)

B... Butterflies Card. I made this using an Easel Card.
C... Colour scheme Layout (pink, yellow, turquoise, light green- use 3 of 4 colours)
D... Die cuts Card. I used die cut chipboard accents.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday at Just Imagine Crafts with Kreaxions Punches

What a great time to reflect on the summer, the cottage and the fun sites.
This layout however needed some "punch".. so Kreaxions were perfect.
The circle, border and edge needed something to pop it ...
so I used the Kreaxions Punch #905 on all of them.
Lots of fun layers of colour and accents made into a great layout.

XOXO scraplift for September

So back at my XOXO DT Alumni site.... I thought it would be fun to play along. So today I am using the layout by Emma to scraplift. Banners are in, sparkle accented chipboard, doodling, some stitching, tags, inking and layers of paper to finish this layout.

Very cute Emma.. great fun bright bold colouring, so much fun lifting.. thanks.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday and some cute little boxes

I have some really cute little boxes to play with but the colouring was a little dull and something was missing. I got out some very bright popping hot pink paper and punched Kreaxions # 603 the little flowers and #604 the butterflies. Adding these to all the side of the little boxes made all the difference it the eye appeal. This was something so easy. You probably have lots of projects that could be jazzed up with just a PUNCH.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday and some fun Projects

Good morning... recently I played with some projects. They could all be used for a baby shower, birthday or other celebration and it all mixes and matches. Using the Kreaxions Punch #907 I got borders punches and the fall away pieces are borders also. Used it for small banners and even a crown substitute. Lots of fun circles with the Kreaxions Circle cutter added to the decor. Lots of layers, bling, white gel pen doodling and ric rak trim finished the projects... 1.a decorated jar to hold appropriate items. 2. little table bags for take home momentums 3. an invitation card for the celebration These would be a great theme for many functions, celebrations or a party. Good morning! What a busy week. The Canadian kids go back to school next week so this week I still have anywhere from 1 to 4 of the grand kids and a friend of theirs for sleep overs, hockey school is in the 2nd week, soccer games are into finals.. lots of running around.. so busy. So here is a simple layout using Kreaxions Circle cutter and Punch #301 and the fall away piece after cutting the circles out. In this close up you can see punched edge of the big circle, the circles that I cut with the scallop half circle using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter and the fall away circle piece. It's amazing what you can do when you use your imagination and a great tool. Honorable mention today goes to Lucy Chesna Design at My Sketch World for the fabulous sketch.
