Hi everyone.. so today I used Momenta product, grabbed my Kreaxions Butterfly Punch #604 and started with the negative first in the border which I matted from the back with pink and stickled. The punched out butterfly pieces I then applied to the card and added stickles. Using a Momenta sentiment and a trim piece .. my simple but cute card was done.
This is a great double page of the cutest Jr. Bridesmaids. I used the sketch below from Scrapbook Challenges that shares sketches every Monday. I altered and turned to make it work with my photos but love the finished project. I wanted soft, elegant but impact papers to showcase the stunning and beautiful photos of the girls. I had fun too with the amazing and perfect accents.
Here are a few close up shots to showcase and share details on the double page layout. Be sure to visit Scrapbook Challenges and see what the rest of the DT did with this sketch and the other versions of the sketch.
I only recently have been having fun with digital scrapping. My Memories Digital Software is fun and easy to navigate and their kits are amazing.. along with the freebies and sales I have now got enough to play with and am totally enjoying myself. Sunday PM is speed scrapping. First time was a little intimidating until I knew what to expect but now I love it and mark my calendar so when I am available I play along. This week they had a 7pm Beginner and and 8Pm so I played along with both. Below are the recipes and my finished pages.
Used parts of 4 kits for this page: Fashion Statement, Diego, Faded Memories, and Be Happy titling. This page I used Autumn in My Heart.
Be sure to check out what everyone made using these speed scrapping recipes on FACEBOOK .. join and follow along with us.
I also am linking this to Scrap SceneWIP Monday to share with everyone.

Cookin' Up Creations Crop Chef is on challenge #4 and due today.. Just got it done in time. The Recipe elements are: Banner, buttons, flowers, key, tear or rip, ribbon or ruffled paper. I Kreaxions Punch #917 the border and matted it . I then applied the punched edge again on top of the one already done. The fall away piece is what I used to make the cute banner that i strung together with twine. I ripped the top edge and matted it. Buttons lined the bottom ride side. Ribbon tied to the key with some glitter stones is one cluster while the other is a group of flowers that I put together by winding the stems with ribbon.. down and up again and tying a bow. Grouped this with stones and a cute layered tag. With a bit of stitching (the machine is sewing terrible - need a new one) and some doodling and a title it is a great page celebrating my mom with her grand kids and great grand kids. It is amazing that she got to be here with them and share in their lives. My grand parents were all gone by the time I was about 5? Only vague memories of them. So we cherish this so much spending lots of time with Gramma B. I used Momenta product to do this page...love the soft fun colours for this page. Here is my supply list: Papers: Momenta PA 0659 CS Earthtones PA 2382 Pyramid Pad Title: Momenta ST 1767 Serendipity Stones: ST 3136 Key: My Minds Eye CS: ColorBok Scallop Scissors:Westcott Ink: ColorBox Punch: Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Punch #917 Ribbon: Craftmart Pens: Staedtler, Signo Other: Flowers, Stitching, Twine, Buttons
This Cousins at Christmas page is always my fav when all the grandkids are together. I used My Sketch World Sketchathon Sketch #15 by Lucy Chesna Design.(below) Also it was perfect to work in a Just Image Creations posting when I used the hearts frame using the Kreaxions Punch #917 with insert A and C. Then after checking Scrapfit workout #62 this week is using the theme XOXO on your page.. it was perfect for multitasking. I turned the sketch sideways and my photo sideways too. Lucy's sketchathon is amazing.. lots of great layout and card sketches to work with.. and did I mention fabulous prizes.. you still have most of the month to play along.. be sure to check it out.Up close you can see the fun heart photo frame placed behind some fussy cutting. The little heart pieces I individually scattered on the rest of the page.. it was perfect with the love, XOXO theme. I love using glossy accents to make the titles glossy and bright.
Welcome today to Tuesday Techniques... and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
So here is my RECIPE this month for DOODLING: Supply list: paper, photo(S), pens, markers, paint optional: stamps and ink and misting
METHOD for DOODLING
DOODLING.... YOU CAN DO IT Doodling is one of the easiest and cheapest things to do. It is described as scribbling aimlessly. Remember doodling is supposed to look imperfect. It's just a doodle not a drawing masterpiece. It's supposed to be fun. Doodling is penwork that can be added to the whole page with doodles and accents or just journaling.
START with some basic lines over and over. Now change direction. Add some waves to the lines. DO IT QUICKLY. Do swirls, curves, zig zags, loops and random patterns. Try some shapes like hearts, stars, diamonds, flowers and circles. After you have a shape try adding lines or dots to it. Take a die cut and add dots, lines or circles. ADD lines to corners, around things or fill shapes.
Here is a sample 12x12 page of doodles just to give you an idea of some of the options you have... and many more once you try this on your own.
Make all your own accents... don't use any store bought ones. I made the banner, flag and the ticket.
My sample page On my page I used paint to doodle accent the 2 corners around the photo. I made my own ticket from paper and used white gel pen to add details to it and numbers. Made the little flag accents. I added 3 background accents.. 2 stamps and some spray. The banner was made and white gel pen accents to every piece and the loops doodled to suspend the banner. Doodling added: corners, music notes, title, brackets, waves, flourish & dots.
If you like to doodle and would like to share your project I'd like to see it. Link below to your blog or leave a link in the comment section.
My homemade medallion flower is stickled, the clock is stamped on tag which I hand journaled, trims are the lace and hand crochet flowers in the upper corner cluster, the postage stamp is by the journal tag and I misted with a doiley mask and the small pieces of black paper above and below the photo are machine embossed for depth. This page is a result of Multi Tasking.... My Sketch World and it's amazing Sketchathon day #8, Memorable Seasons Challenge with Audrey to use the word Love for page elements and Cookin' Up Creations is hosting a Do you have what it takes to be the next Crop Chef... today's challenge and recipe by me.... Your ingredients -- remember , you must use EACH one: stickles or glitter clock or watch face (die cut, stamped, patterned paper etc) trims handwritten journaling
And this special ingredient: postage stamp
And you must use these techniques: embossing of any kind, machine, by hand, dry embossing, wet embossing masking
The LOVE elements are: lace, orange(touch of colour), valentine hearts, embossing.
Using the amazing Lucy sketch inspired the page above especially with the recipe from Cookin' Up Creations for the next Crop Chef.. and Scrapfit's clustered elements which I used in 2 different spots on my layout. It also was a fun colour combo, fun homemade flowers, some doodles and cricut cut title. Be sure to check out these fun and amazing site. Play along if you have time. Would love to see your work too.
Hi everyone.. what a great day. Thought it would be fun to celebrate a wedding with you in my page today at Just Imagine Crafts. I used the sketch below from Lucy Chesna Design.. ( a card sketch) at My Sketch World. I wanted some fun soft layers but also some colour to help pop the photos. Pops of red helped also, the fun cluster with pearls but also needed to do something to bring the circle photo to the front. Well with the Kreaxions Circle Cutter I cut the Photo and a larger background circle. This background I then punched with Kreaxions Punch #917 (the cutest hearts was perfect for a wedding).
I matted the background of the punched hearts and this close up shows the details and the cluster.
This is Lucy's fabulous card sketch that inspired the above Wedding page.
