Let's Get Sketchy

Let's Get Sketchy is using the fabulous sketch below. I thought this would work
with this 8x8 Disney page.. just omitting all the white space..
Fun layers, colours and great accents with a cute face painted photo.
The outer edge was done with fun ruler edge and a plain ink pen.

so many projects in February? where did the time go?

Turtle Soup Sketch and Disney page created using it.

During the month of February there are so many challenges themed with Love
and I managed to create lots of pages showing just that.

Fun page with lots of elements.. great stickers, masking, doodling and fun kits, buttons circular centre.

This page was created by for a Telephone Relay at the Turtle Soup. It was great fun.
Super fun background, great Creative Embellishment flourish, florals and fun drink stir sticks cluster.

When I have papers that don't come with matching accents I fussy cut them from the matching papers
and make them into an embellishment.. like the pinwheel, the hearts and other word accents off
mixed pieces. More background messy fun, some buttons and twine are the  perfect touch.

This fabulous fun background paper with lots of colour and palm trees was to pretty to
cover it all up... so I carefully matted and placed all my amazing jetty beach photos. With
just so limited space left for accents I used some of the nautical Creative Embellishments and
also the circular accents cut up to fit behind in 2 spots... and just a touch of punchinella was a great addition.

What a great challenge to do a year in review.. it takes up so much space with photos
it challenges you when it's time to accent it. Making sure one side had a tad more space for a few accents
and backing the photo with fun matching papers gives it the depth for a great page.

Another challenge to share my favs was great fun... starting with making a huge
9x9 collage of my favourite layouts over the year. Some are favs for the design, the photo, the memory
or the colours and accents.. but all had something that I loved.
This was really hard to pick from hundreds of pages that were done this past year.

These 2 pages above and below are summer pages at our favourite cottage spot
where family has celebrated many great times together.

I am slowly getting some 8x8 disney pages together for each of the Grandkids Disney Albums.

At the Turtle Soup in February Stacey challenged up to lift from her LO. ..
above is my finished page to her challenge.

Thanks for visiting.. come back again.

Doilys are so easy with Kreaxions Products

DSCF6835

Hi and how are you today? At Just Imagine Crafts today I am still working on a Christmas page.. and on this one today I am using a doily I created using Kreaxions Products. You can purchase the standard white store bought doily, cut the snowflake like doily, even stamp a doily looking accent BUT OMG look how easy it is to make your own and you get to use any of the Kreaxions punches and can also change it up by starting with a circle marked off with the stencils for punch spots or use the star template to follow for punching. This process also allows you to adjust the size required with ease and also the colours.
I used the star stencil and punch # 913 and with the circular shape I used punch #923
DSCF6837 Resized

Here is my finished page using the star stencil with punch #913 to make my homemade doily.
I am sure there are also so many uses for doilys in your creative world.. and these are so easy to make.
Thanks for visiting today.. be sure to visit Just Imagine Crafts often when other DT share so many creative and fun ideas using Kreaxions products.

Altered Item into a Shaker

SWAT   today has my post sharing an altered item that
I changed into a shaker which are so much fun.
Here is a photo of the Jillibean Soup Packaging for the corrugated shapes.
It is perfect to make a shaker. The plastic dome is perfect but also today
I am using the background shaped piece.

Carefully take apart with as little ripping as possible.

I decorated the background packaging of the Jillibean Soup.

Add the beads to the clear plastic .. I found this the easiest way.
This way you can add the glue to the edge and flip the other piece on top
centred within reason with a quick slide to centre it if necessary.

Loved the sports theme on this one.. it will make a great guy card,
birthday card or just for fun project.
Cover the back side and add the sentiments.

It was so much fun I made another one which I totally papered
covering the whole background first. I then added some cute accents,
a banner and a sentiment. After using the same process to add the beads
I added an accent on the outside to finish it off.

Hope you enjoyed this today. Take inventory of your packaging of some
of your scrappy items. How many more of them come in this type of packaging.
Some of those small kids toys come in plastic domes also.
Save them and make some of these cute shakers.
