Sketches in Thyme Sketch #267

Welcome to March! Today at Sketches in Thyme we start a new month with a new Sketch #267 by Shawn Lahr. I used this sketch to create my mother / daughter page. Aren't they adorable.

I used the sketch, Robin's Nest papers, some homemade accents, some Heartfelt Creations die cut flowers made using the shaping kit, some Creative Embellishments accents  & stencil along with odd misc from my stash.

To start following the sketch I started by forming the big background heart first. I inked the edges to make it pop,

Up next using the Creative Embellishments stencil I added modeling paste to create the textured hearts.

I laid out all the possible mix of accents that I chose to use. I often take a photo of placement so I can dismantle it and start gluing from the bottom.

The page was still missing some flowers so using Robin's Nest papers I die cut Heartfelt Creations flowers and shaped them with their shaping kit.

I started clustering fun sections of accents. Robin's Nest die cut card, Creative Embellishments flair button and chipboard.

Robin's Nest papers were used to make the Heartfelt Creations die cut flowers, shaped, layered and clustered.  Small beads are added to flower centres and some stickles added for glitter.

Next you can see the section with fun print layers of papers and more accents. Note the bead border around the heart too.

This last photo is a central photo of the main matted photo with amazing mix of accents to showcase it.

This month, the prize is a GC from Creative Embellishments. They have amazing chipboards to all occasions, stamps, stencils and flair buttons. Be sure to check the store for all their amazing products you'll be able to buy if you win.
