Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kit.... what an amazing GDT term with a great kit

Hi everyone... I am back again as Guest Designer for my last post using the  Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits. I really enjoyed my time here and working with fabulous kits makes crafting so much fun and easier for sure. Be sure to check out their bi-monthly kits for yourself... you'll be pleasantly surprized.
Thanks to all for my fabulous time spent here.

My last layout using the amazing Boys Rule Kit for March and April is my grandson
playing in the hammock at the cottage.. a favourite spot the whole family loved spending time together for many, many years before we sold it. They will cherish these pages in their future to preserve the cottage memories of their lives.

On this background I started with paint splatter using many colours to pull out the paper colours.
I then used stenciled circles to finish it off.

This section has many layers, many die cut cardstock accents ... all inked on the edges ..
along with multi wrapping with Bella Creationz Timeless Twine and a tied bow.

This photo shows the small circular stickers postioned amongst the stenciled circles.

Super alpha for the title and fun foam popped accent.

Project Life is such a big new style of scrapping today. I only did a single page but it will be awesome in the albums along with more card layouts to share my husbands car with family.
It's a guy thing .. they all love going for a ride and touring with the car.
In the details of the page I share the story about the special car license plates and what we had to do to be able to use them on this special car.

Close ups of the 4 PL panels on the page.

So many extra but perfect stickers and accents to add to my Project Life page.

Sure hope you enjoyed my mix of fabulous projects made for the fabulous kit.
Be sure to visit often to see what kit is up next month.

Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits with a cute page and a super fun shaker

Hi everyone... I am back again as Guest Designer with Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits.
Today I am sharing a layout and a fun shaker with a tip on making a tassle.

I am starting with this fun boy page. Black is always a nice add on to a masculine page and
it was a great add on with the colour orange in the kit print papers.

I started again with some fun gesso stenciling for texture in the background for a rustic touch along with some ink stenciling too. This section also boasts some fun kit accents.

Small but fun clusters are great in corners of a page for added colour and design. I also changed up and added a circular photo.

This section details the mix of alpha stickers, corner cross borders and some swirled twine accent.

*******************************************************

And are you ready for some fun. Up next is a shaker and instructions to make a tassle accent.

Using the packaging from the jillibean die cut embellishments I started with tracing and hand
cutting the outer edge to cover the glue section of the clear package covering. Sequins for the kits are shades of blue with a touch of green so I went with kit stash in the dark blue shade. The background of the shaker is super fun polka dots, cute little dog accent, fun tags and birthday sentiments.

This photo shows a test of all the pieces fitting perfectly before Sequins are put inside.

Place the sequins into the centre section away from the edges where the glue will be adhered to the background base and plastic. Be sure to totally let it dry so sequins don't stick to the outer edges.

Here is the shaker all put together and dried. It need some outer accents and
what better than a tassle and multiwraps around the base.

To make the tassle wrap around your fingersabout 6-8 times
depending on size and thickness you'd like.

Take a separate piece to twine to wrap aroung the top of tassle and
firming tie it off about 1/4" below top edge.

Now cut apart and even out the bottom of the tassle strings.

Around the outer lip of the plastic wrap 2 or 3 times and glue down firmly.

Tie the tassle to the side into outer twine border and securely fasten it.
Here is the finished shaker with fun tassle.
Sure hope you love this cute easy idea as much as I did sharing with you.

This kit had amazing endless amounts of fun, colourful and fabulous accents which
made creating so much fun and easy.

Thanks for stopping by.... would you believe I still have another post to share and
still using the same fabulous Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kit.

Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kit ... then and now

Hi everyone... I am back again as Guest Designer with Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits.
Today I am sharing a layout I made using the April 1st sketch at Boys Rule.
Super design using circles and fun layers.

I started with a paint splattered background. Then I cricut cut out lots of fun shaped circles to
spread out on my page roughly following the sketch.

This fun bright page shares photos of my only grandson.. and just a little titbit .. he was born
on his papa's birthday.. so they share this day every year. They tease each other about who's day
it really is? I am older, your younger, you had it first, you had it longer or long enough now?We laugh every time they bicker about who's special day it is and why do we have to share?
This page is a then and now using photos with a fun age difference.

In the close ups it showcases the super cute, fun and bright cardstock die cuts,
 alpha letters and stickers.

OMG look at this cute clusters... adorable.

Super alpha mix is used to create this corner cluster .

So many options to create when the kit supplies all these fabulous accents.

Up next is this cute tag I made to put on a fun party treat bag. The kit came with a clear
plastic cello bag which would be the perfect size to fill for a birthday party full of treats for all
the guests to be on the table with this tag with their personal name on.

Making tags is so easy. Grab those scraps from you stash... grab lots of accnents and trims and away you go. These would be perfect for any party.

Fill the bag with candy or treats of your choice. I tied it off with twine.

Now using the end of the twine tie on and add the tag..

Thanks for stopping by.... I still have lots to share using this fabulous Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kit.

Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kit for March/April... don't miss this one

Hi everyone... I am super excited to be a Guest Designer with Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits.
Making fabulous projects is easy when the mix of products is so awesome...
the great colours, prints on double sided papers, super alpa choices,
die cut accents along with super stickers.

This fun birthday paper was very dark so I started by adding Sparkle Mod Podge. After it
dried I added some gesso with texture  to outer section of paper.. below the upper title section

You can view the sparkle a bit better in this photo. I used lost of layers and many sections
with lots of clustered accents. All the colours were perfect to pop things off the paper along
with the birthday photos.

In these close ups the yellow alpha was a great element with pop of colour.

More alpha title #s along with some stickers in this cluster and some twine finished this corner off.

This view showcases the many colour layers using both paper and stickers.

This last close up has a great cluster of fun stickers and die cut embellishments.

*********************************************
Up next is a super cute Birthday card.
I used the Happy Birthday print to start the bottom base.
The fun cut away from the bottom of papers was a perfect border.
The kit came with the Jillibean Cool as a Cucumber cardstock die cuts.
Using the triangle pieces I started with a cricut cut border cut to the same size as the die cut triangles.
I glued 3 on each side leaving space for the sticker alpha to add the sentiment.
Using Bella Creationz Timeless twine and a few more clustered tag stickers
 I accented the centre border.

Thanks for stopping by.... be sure to return often as my guest spot is just beginning
and I have lots more to share over the next 2 months.

BOYS RULE amazing bi monthly KITS

Hi everyone... I am super excited to be a Guest Designer with Boys Rule Scrapbooking Kits.
What amazing kits with so many fabulous fun elements to play with.
I couldn't wait to start creating with this fabulous combo of goodies
when the package arrived. Wasn't sure where to start with so
many ideas coming to mind all at once.

I decided on this page first because I had the perfect little guy photos just waiting to
be put together with this cool kit using lots of  Jillibean Cool as a Cumcumber collection.

To start my page off  I used cardstock and treated it with lots of stamping and stencils along with
some paint splatter and misting. All the colours chosen were pulled off the kit colours.

In the close ups make special note to the fabulous, colourful and fun accents.
Some in the form of stickers, alphas, washi tape and cut outs.

Stickers and accents are always fun when you can cluster them.

This cute little guy needed to be matted and popped to give depth and definition.

Thanks for stopping by.... be sure to return often as my guest spot is just beginning
and I have lots more to share over the next 2 months.
