Welcome to 1 of my DT previous  reveals for the Linnie Blooms

Here is my finished Layout and below I'll share some of the details to making it.

Starting with a white background I mask the clock using the Versa Magic dew drop chalk ink

Below the clock I used an embossing file that I put ink on and just pressed down on the paper.

Then using the dew drop shape of the chalk ink pad I randomly inked the petals to form a flower.

In this section you also see the fun Key tied with ribbon.

In this section I hand cut the chevron shapes which I doodle stitched using Staedtler black ink pen.

Lots of fun layers of paper from the 6x6 paper pad. 

Also a layer from the ...  stencils pieces (stars and baby)

Super easy but cute card.. with a fun altered style and an easy to make butterfly.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Next up is a card.... which I thought would be fun to change the shape up a bit.

Fold the base card outer wings to centre... cut pieces to add to the side panels. .. 

either the same print or mix it up like I did.

Also find a fun front accent and also size to fit yet another accent I with words to form the front panel.

Trace and hand cut to prepare a hand stenciled butterfly using a fun print.. cut it and ink the edges.

Ink the edges of the butterfly... 

and accordiam fold in tiny segments as above.

Tie the centre with twine and leave a short length for the feelers.

Assemble all the pieces and add the butterfly.

What a fun cute card.. and it was so easy.

Creating another fun card with an easy technique... using chalk ink and masking tape.

Follow the technique below to make the card base.

Let it dry then finish the card as above.

Lots of fun layers, borders, fussy cut doily and banner sections.. 

decorate adding ink to edges,, and I used alpha letters for the XO.

INSTRUCTIONS: 

Start with a card base.. grab your chalk inks and also you'll need some masking tape.

Make the masking tape strips long enough to angle acrows the base.

Gently push down on top of the ink.. all along the length of the masking tape piece.

Now gently place across from corner to corner and firmly pust down to transfer the ink to base.

Repeat alternating colours  over the full base.. see finished base below.

My term is now over and I will be sharing anything I previously created for them.

Linnie Blooms and amazing Canvas Project

This month at Linnie Blooms I had a chance to create using this fabulous canvas pillow case...

and amazing new product coming to the store later in August. 

I haven't dont any stitching for years now.. but it was coming back to me .. just like riding a bike.

No even sure of the names of the stitches... but I am thrilled with my finished pillow case.

I still need to buy the proper inner cushion but substituted for now to get a finished photo.

I started this project with my tree first. I inked the trunk and stamped the leaves 

with textured stamp and green ink. I then added the twine tied buttons.

Next  up was the inked leaves and the stamped look for more depth and texture.

Stamping of the sunburst and the background was next before adding the tree, leaves and  piece of burlap.

Next I stamped the words which I hand stitched using embroidery floss from my stash.

The design was still a bit off so I sew easy inked rolled the lower and side edge with the

stitch pattern which I then hand stitched over top with a varigated coloured embroidery floss.

I didn't worry about the ink splatter.. it added depth and rustic look to my projcet.

Linnie Bloom super fun canvas products and new upcoming stamps

I was so excited to get the chance to use one of the new stamp sets that are coming to Linnie Blooms soon. Linda has designed some stamps that tie in with the Mixed Stitch concept.

 I added it to my card along with the great canvas fence accent.

In the background I started with lots of misting, stamping and then used the new stamps.

 From there I used paper and more accents from Paper House.

I came upon this perfect gramma quote that I printed to go with the great stamped words.

This is an all new adventure for me but I am sure enjoying the challenge 

and being able to learn fun new ways to use canvas and many other mixed stitch concepts.

Linnie Blooms Canvas Hoop and Rubon Resist Technique

Hi...  Today i really had to step out of my box ... but then it occured to me.

Rub on resist on canvas might be just perfect for this small

 but cool home decor piece.

So let's go... rubon on image that will fit the hoop size in mind.

Now mist the piece.. I used 3 colours on my canvas.

Now gently take a piece of paper towel and gently wipe

off the misting that is over the rubon. Do this to the whole

rubon image... notice it is turning white with only the image showing.

Let the treated piece dry now. I gently heated this to dry but

don't apply too heat over the rubon image.. you don't want to melt it.

Now the easy part starts..... before puting this into the hoop

 I ink stamped the sentiment.

Centre canvas into the hoop.. and tighten the screw to secure it.

Finish this off with some fun accents. On the outer edge I added ribbon and

ended with a tied loop knot to hang it from.

I then added stickles to the edge of the ring and a small button

 and flower cluster was the finishing touch.

Well I enjoyed making and sharing this with you. Hope you'll try

Linnie Bloom and fabulous canvas shapes

OMG ..my first ever real canvas attempt... sure hope you like it.

It all started with canvas shapes from Linnie Blooms... and 

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with these really cool canvas trees and leaves.

I started with a 8 1/2"x 12" canvas from the dollar store.

I used paint strips on the background to start. 

Then I mask with gesso for more texture and then added more paint splatter.

Next I used Paper House papers.. plywood and  pine forest... rustic and ripped 

it and edges with ranger ink.

More layers with some burlap, strip of cork and a section of Creative Embellishments accent.

Phot was placed under the accent a bit and the 

painted trees cover the base of the photo also.

I put a cute rubon on a piece of paper, ribbed and inked and applied

 to top right corner of all the layered textures.

I added and metal accent and a twine tied metal keys accent.

In the top upper left corner I inked the leaves, doodled spines and added buttons.

Using Cricut I cut the title "best memories".

Starting with a painted cardstock base... I cut this amazing new cut file from A Cutt Above, then

added Simple Stories Hello Baby paper behind the grids spaced out.

This fabulous canvas accent is from Linnie Blooms collections..

 be sure to check them all out. I added a ripped paper with inked edges and fussy cut the image 

and  adhered it using some fun brads.

Here are few more close ups to detail some fun accents.

Floral clusters with Robin's Nest dew drops added.

Added a fussy cut border, cute camera accent and so very sweet journal words all with inked edges.

Graduation Celebrations using Linnie Bloom stencils

Hi... I needed a card for my Grand Daughters grade 5 Graduation as 

she heads of to middle school which is grades 6-8. Isn't that exciting.

Well I wanted something bright, fun and different to share with her on this special day.

Starting with the Linnie Blooms butterfly stencil I traced a butterfly and cut it out of white 

cardstock just slightly small than the base card size. I matted it with some fun bright and 

cute print paper from Simple Stories DIY Boutique which I then 

zigzag stitched around the outer edges.

I added a base border for a pop of colour.

I matted the whole thing again.

Tracing another butterfly from a darker floral print I accordian folded 

it and tied it off with twine... also added a twine flight path from the other butterfly.

The sentiment, small butterfly and "you did it" are SRM stickers.

Really quit simple but cute and she'll love the butterflies and

of course it's even more special when I custom make cards for them to keep.

These super cute butterflies are so versitile and suit so many projects.. and so easy to make.

Linnie Blooms and fabulous Canvas Shapes

HI.. I am excited today to share my Linnie Blooms post with you. I have been working with

lots of canvas shapes this month and here is what I did with the Sun shape.

We also have been doing themes of the month.. outdoor fun. 

Well what better outdoor summer fun than eating popsicles with cousins.

I started by colouring the cavas sun with Ink pads.. I used yellow and orange mix.

I then used my Kreaxions circle cutter to make 2 rings from paper and a centre circle.

I inked the edges and glued them down.

In the close ups I'll tell you abit about what I did. Starting with the Jillibean placemat cut cardstock

I cut apart only 12 circle sections.. and filled alternating offset circles with a background circle to fill it.

The top corner cluster is finished off with twine... the windmill sticker is matted and foam popped.

I added sun ray paper strips.

Also hand cut some clouds from the papers.

The stickers are fabulous.. what a great mix... titles, strips, admit tickets and alpha of different shapes.

I used Kreaxion Punch #903 to punch a border.

I added fun mix of coloured brads in the bottom right.

Linnie Blooms and Stencil ideas

Hi  everyone.. today I am sharing some fun ways to use the Linnie Blooms Stencil/Masks to create with.

I thought I'd share a variety of ways to alter the butterfly stencil and use it on your projects.

I choose to make tags but they would be great on many different projects too.

1. I punched the wings of the butterfly with Kreaxions #903 

2. applied gesso through a mask and then ink stamped it

3. I embossed it and inked the raised parts to pop it.

4. NO PHOTO.. but I zigzag stitched all around the outside edge.

Using #1 and #2 together I topped the gesso stamped with the punched butterfly.

The base one is glued flat but the top one is attached only through the centre and is also offset.

The card base is Paper House Impressions, the stitching and sentiment is SRM stickers and I added some Creative Embellishments squares that fell out of a punched accent and the twine flight path for the butterfly is perfect. Then the last added twine through the punched hole.

Using #3 and #4 I topped the stitched one on top of the embossed inked butterfly... only these are directly on top of each other. I added the outer edges with stickles and through the centre.
On this tag I Kreaxions #903 punched the bottom and top border. I ink stamped the circle behind the butterfly and the stitching and sentiment is SRM stickers. Twine is also applied to this tag.
