Cookin' Up Creations... Tutorial Thursday

Hi everyone..
at Cookin' Up Creations this month the Caption of the month is
"Cookin for the Holidays" with a Food theme.

With cooking and food in mind I am posting the Thursday Tutorial with a recipe with a twist.
Any good food recipe has a list of ingredients that combined together make a delicious dish.

So with that in mind I have a RECIPE for a fabulous LAYOUT + TWIST

1. Pick a patterned paper that is very busy and has possibilities to cut and use many pieces.
2. You therefore need a background piece to piece it all together with.. whether cardstock or matching paper to the #1 piece.
3. You must use a #number on it.
4. You must use many different shape fonts on the page. (not all in the title but can be)
5. You must use at least 2 photos on it.
6. You must have at least 5 different colours somewhere.
7. You need a blend of accents.
8. You need at least 3 brads.

AND NOW FOR THE TWIST.
9. TITLE...
The title must have some technique to make it special... something to make it pop.
a. mask mist it
b. colour chipboard with paints
c. add stickles
d. matte for double colour
e. outline with markers
OR the technique I used
f. use glossy accents to make the letters pop and shine.

On my page the letters are perfectly flat and part of the paper so the letters needed something to make it stand out as the Main Title. I actually added 2 coats to get the affect I wanted.

The shine definitely makes the title pop off the page.

Here is the cross section photo to show how the glossy accents made the title pop and shine... gave it depth and texture too.
Would love for you to stop by Cookin' Up Creations and see what every one creates with my recipe..maybe you could play along too. Would love to see you.
