Amazing Cards using Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage Collection

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for a great week too.
I am sharing 3 cards today at The Rubber Buggy. I used and fabulous Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage collection that was amazing to work with. It is so classy and beautiful.
The card above uses a calling card print which I centered behind a larger frame piece from the collection. I inked layers and matted with a deeper shade to pop things. It has a fun wrapped twine behind the sentiment.

This one uses the same Calling card centered on the frame but is matted and layers with some cork accent. The title is a die cut  using Memory Box.

This card is using a fussy cut section from the print paper, lots of dark matting for depth and dimension and it's an easel card style. I stamped the sentiment from... and cut into a pennant shape with more matting. The easel section has a print inside and a dark border strip with signo white gel pen doodled stitches. This border helps hold things up.
Each one is stunning using this amazing Collection.

Supply List:
Paper: Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage -  Calling cards, - Whitewash
Other: cardstock, twine, signo white gel pen

Thanks for stopping by... I enjoyed sharing these cards with you today.

1st ever "Blog Love" Weekend Blog Hop

Welcome to this week's "Blog Love "Weekend Blog Hop. Hope you'll take time to join us. Leave a comment so we know you have been here.
I am sharing an easel card and am using Paper House Products.

Supply List:
Paper: Paper House One Big Happy Family
Sticker: One Big Happy Family
Tools: Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions circle cutter
Other: cardstock, Tim Holtz distressed ink

To make an easy easel card.. grab a standard card base. Fold the front into the centre forming the T-pee. Cut an extra base front the size of the actual card. This is the panel you will decorate.

Here is my card in progress. Lots of fun layers and prints.

When the front is done glue only the bottom part of the folded T-pee and adhere the decorated panel.

This is the card facing you.. It needs some inside decorating now.

Cover the inside bottom and also use some kind of strip, border, fussy edge at about the half way point. This is the main piece that will make the card stand up and not fall over.

Thanks for visiting... enjoyed your company this weekend.

You have until Monday pm to leave a comment.
I am giving a small token random draw to some lucky winner on my blog.

'Sun Kissed' using lots of Creative Embellishments Accents and The Rubber Buggy Products

This super fun and bright floral page uses a great photo of my eldest Grand Daughter and her friend. This photo was perfect with this paper collection along with lots more fabulous accents and trims.
For this page I also entered a simple fun challenge to use branded borders off any collection ... I used the strips on the top and bottom for this part of the challenge.
I am multi tasking for my Creative Embellishments blog post today and using products from The Rubber Buggy.

Supply List:

Creative Embellishments Products
Stencil: Paint Stencil
Other: The Rubber Buggy Blue Fern Studio Garden Life paper collection, 49 & Market flowers, Ink: Tim Holtz distress, cork, copics, Paint, Ranger black dye ink
Sketch: SIT Janessa

For this page I used the SIT sketch and the challenge to use the branded borders off a collection.  These are the top and bottom border strips. I pulled some papers from the Garden Life Collection to start some layers. I pulled the music chipboard and fussy cut the bird accent and the Sun Kissed title.

The background needed some colour so I paint smattered using rubber gloves and the colours from the paper.

With the background done I laid things our again.... I fussy cut more paper accents and also stamped more music notes in the bottom corner.

I did some stenciling to  add more dark colouring to go with the stamping and chipboard which is copic coloured.

I worked these accents and added some flowers into a great cluster in the upper left corner.

The fussy cut and inked title was clustered with a fussy cut butterfly and floral/butterfly accent too.

This section showcases a stamped musical piece, a cork based accent and a burlap flower.

Another cluster of chipboard, stencil paper fussy cut flower and burlap flower.

Here is the central photo of the photo with all the great accents around it.

Thanks for joining me today... be sure to visit again soon.

Creative Embellishments August Challenge

Creative Embellishments August challenge is up. Sure hope you'll take time to play along. So many fun things to choose from in the mood palette and the twist to use #hashtags.
This super Lacrosse sports page showcases the use of #hashtags and using the colour yellow from the mood board challenge. I painted the sports hashtags and number 28 with yellow paint... but left the washi tape clusters natural colour. The themed sports papers are from Paper House.

I started this page knowing I was going to use lots of #hashtag sports tags and they would be bright yellow. After pulling some photos I laid out what I thought i'd try on this page? or part of it?
I chose to hand cut octagon shapes out of cork for behind the photos. It still need some more colour to pop the photos off the dark background... so I cut a black strip and a white pennant edge piece.

The background  was still too dark so I used a stencil and added it in white modeling paste where the photos wouldn't be covering it.

Now I started gluing thing back down from the back to the front.

I painted the chipboards a fun bright yellow.

All the fun bright yellow #hashtags look great and I added her # to the mix too.

I wanted to add more to the page.. so on the bottom I signo white gel pen doodled the year and also added a chipboard accent.

This close up gives you a great view of the central section where the photos are. It has some great colour, layers and accents to showcase the photos to keep them front and centre.
