Tis the Season to be Merry at Creative Embellishments

Hi... so it's fall but Christmas is on it's way soon. I love Christmas.....  just don't love the snowy icy roads when driving. Love the white sunny days when things glisten.
So today at Creative Embellishments I have 2 xmas projects to share with you.

I thought I'd share my thought process on this one. I grabbed a white cardstock base...  pulled lots of photos and cut them to size and rounded the corners for a softer look. I picked some fabulous Creative Embellishments accents that were perfect with my photos for this page... a title, snowflakes and a cool tree.

The page was still pretty plain so now you can see paint splatter in the background and I pulled some small pad papers and layered them into the background.

I have a Martha Stewart gift/presents border punch and it was a perfect baseline border in gold.

The chippies looked very plain so I started with copic markers mixing up some green, red and white snow flakes. Really traditional colouring .. but perfect. The title was finished with a shiny coating of glossy accents.

The snowflakes started with white paint/ink and then it's hard to see but I added glitter using stickles.

The tree was sparkled with gold stickles too.

With a bit of a change up in positions ... the page was put together.

It looks fabulous and I am happy with the memories shared on this page when family gets together to celebrate.

I was still in the Christmas mood... so up next is a fun easy project. I found the blackboard stand at the dollar store and thought it would be perfect for a xmas countdown blackboard for the younger kids to follow the days to xmas. My niece and nephews  children would love this.

I copic coloured the base of the stand and then coloured the title chippies and white inked the snowflakes.

To this project I added glossy accents to the title to make it shine. Accents and stickers were glued down and then I got my signo white gel pen to doodle the images and words to the count down. Now they can use regular chalk and write the # of days on.

Above is a closer view to see the great details. This was fun and easy but the kids will love it.
