OMG 25 layouts since Oct 25th .. I was on fire!!!
So my friend Lisa is DT at My Scraps and More and I thought it would be fun to play along with her.... but I didn't have time until Oct 25th... and would you believe I am all caught up... 25 layouts to date and maybe only 1 more bonus sketch yet to go when it gets posted. These additional pages will be amazing additions to my family albums which are part of my xmas gifts to the family.
Now I am only posting the finished layouts without the sketches BUT when you like what you see be sure to stop over at My Scraps and More .. see what amazing sketches Tammi and the DT supplied for this fun Sketch - A - Thon .. THANKS EVERYONE. ( and I acknowledge the sketches used to be from DT My Scraps and More.I work with double page layouts for those that haven't followed me before... so I make an effort to multi task with challenges and get doubles out of challenges by joining them where possible.
The humming birds at the cottage are amazing to watch. I take photos of them whenever I get the chance. When it's super quiet they allow me to get really close for these great shots.
This is a single until I get the time to find a sketch and do the other half.... OMG xmas will be here soon enough... and the snow.
This was a double page layout sketch so was right in my comfort zone... used some really funny pictures of myself doing a online crop. Had to put up the tripod and learn how to set the autotimer so I could take pictures of myself .. I am not the subject in too many of my layouts. I usually am the one taking the photos. This was the game Photo Hunt.. and I randomly won this part of the crop from Scrapping Turtle.. my favourite local scrappy store.
Family and friends in Florida.. spending time at the beach.
I haven't done too many school portrait pages yet .. so I thought I'd work on them. Have a few different years to do on each of the kids. If you notice on lots of my pages .. I leave journaling spot and tags empty.. it's because I would like the parents to take the time to add their imput on the pages.
Pages with different age groups are so fun. Seeing their faces as they grow and the expressions is priceless.
Babies are just too cute and make for the most fabulous images on layouts.
I make sure to share photos of the Gramma's with the kids so they have many memories when we are gone.. not very many grandkids even know their great grandmothers. My grand kids did so these are precious pages.
The cottage is our favourite summer hide away... so you will see lots of pages saving these precious memories... for every year.
Friends are those who make your daily life so special and plan to do more pages to share with them too.
OMG they grow up so fast. I love saving so many of the fun occasions at all different ages.
You will note I don't scrap in any order.. I just go with the flow... they can be ordered in the albums when they are all done.. which I don't see happening any too soon.
These four layouts are for a baby album for a gift therefore minus any photos.. the baby is due around Dec 21st.. sure hope the mom gets great photos to add to it.
The 25th photo was in a previous posting. Sure hope you enjoyed these because I enjoyed sharing them with you.
So in doing the many layouts above I used some techniques and items.. be sure to take note for your scrapping of all the things available to you when scrapping.
Paint, misting, layering, hand stitching, pop ups, fussy cutting, punching, stamping, doodling, distressing, inking, blocking, clustering and making tags.
and using products...
copic colouring chipboard, twine tied around things, glossy accenting paper titles, twine, metal accents, stickers, buttons, brads and bling.
