Feeling Sketchy using Heartfelt Creations

Feeling Sketchy is using the sketch below to inspire us to create a card. My card above uses my newest products from The Rubber Buggy DT to make my card. It was fun  fussy cutting, ripping and layering the many different papers from the Classic Sunflower Collection from Heartfelt Creations. I inked edges to add depth, added a bow and Robin's Nest dew drops for 3D dimension added stickles to the sunflower for a pop of sparkle.

This sketch sponsor is Polka Doodles.

Thanks for stopping by... be sure to visit the Feeling Sketchy blog where you can view all the DT reveals using this sketch.  Maybe you'll even play along with us so we can view and comment on your card.

I love you.... using Lemon Crafts Dreamy Mornings

Grand Diva's Creative Corner shared Kelly mood board.. what fun inspiration for creating. Also playing along with a Turtle Soup Sketch Challenge which I slipped and turned and an inspiration challenge that had hearts in a border. What a beautiful page of a mom and her children.. perfect for love, pink and hearts.

Supply List:
Other: Ink, accents, doodling pen

I have a fun tip for creating this page.

This is what I wanted the background to look like... I wanted to weld? put 2 sheets together and save the actual piece cut out of both to use else where and or cut up accents to fussy cut and pop.

Here are the photos of my cutting apart of 2 sheets to save the rest of the paper but put only 2 pieces together. All you need is a little overlap so you can glue them together.

You can try this anytime when you want to mix and match and save some of the fabulous prints that come in a kit.

Here are the close ups of my page. The first one above showcases the main central section that I was trying for in my page. What a great border of hearts.

This view shares the great accent stickers for the title and the clustering of floral with leaves.

What a fun tag accent from the collection. Also notice the fun black pen stitch doodles.
Thanks for viewing..  and Happy Valentines Day to you all.

Robin's Nest - Hockey full reveal

Robin's Nest has many collections of paper and some are great all dressed up and fancy but also can be used for sports pages. Today I am using Saffron Collection to create a hockey page. It was the perfect colours for my Grand Sons Hockey page. I used Swirlydos sketch below to inspire the page above. .. I used the vertical and horizontal dot lines to inspire the heavy cricut cut borders to accent the hockey theme.

Supply List:
Robin's Nest Products
Other: brads, paint, cricut cut files
Sketch: Swirlydos

I have been experimenting with mixed media on backgrounds to start with.  Using a few layers of patterned paper with a solid black mat I started the base background. I didn't have as many photos to cluster so made a background base instead.

Using my splatter technique I add 3 shades of paint to the area... black, grey and white. I then used a thin layer of modeling paste and smeared it cross corner on outer edges for more texturing look. Notice it grabbed and smeared some of the paint with it.

How using some cricut cut file borders I followed the vertical and horizontal lines from the sketch. I  was then ready to add my photos.

I only had one group photo and found a slightly blurred photo that cropped into a circle made a great action shot photo matted accent. Using sparkle die cut shapes I cricut cut the #10 and glued it on.

There are only so many great masculine type accents.. but brads are awesome most of the time.

I cricut cut the title, puck and skate. There created a great title cluster for my page.
This rustic background gave me the grungy look for a sports page.. but the colours in the paper were like the uniforms .. I am totally happy with the way this one turned out.

Thanks for popping in today.. look forward to seeing you later this month for another fabulous Robin's Nest project.

Cut Card Stock and Linen Foil

Cut Card Stock has amazing products. Today I am using the American Crafts Linen Foil. It has a great collection of colours and I will share on my page. I embossed and cut the great sparkly papers to accent the page. Cute clustered hearts were cricut cut while the smile and love were embossed and hand trimmed. The background started with paint splatter, with lots of soft colours to match the patterned paper used to made the photo.

This section highlights the upper small heart cluster with some matted hearts, the embossed trimmed Smile title and some cute silver hearts scattered.

Here shows the flow of hearts from the top right down the side and around the bottom corner. .. all in sparkling foil paper.

Here you get a better view of the lower cluster of mixed matted hearts along with the coloured patterned papers behind the photo.

This is just one more condensed section of all the amazing fun colours with a splash of sparkled accents using foil paper. It had great thickness and was easy to work with.
