JnW Crafts - Smile Tag

I used the JnW Crafts templates to make my tag today.
The larger wood template was used to trace the jar on right on the base tag.
I then drew the lid marks using Staedtler black pen and then used StazOn ink
to stamp on the circle accents.

The smaller glass jar template was used to trace on the Paper House PaperPP-0612 and hand cut
out the jar on the left. The lid marks were drawn on it and the fun cute
tag was cut, stamped on, doodled stitching added and tied with twine to the jar.
The upper part of tag was stamped with butterfly, matted and doodle stitching to
make a border accent. The Smile sentiment is stamped plus butterflies and flower and
matted with scallopped edges. Add some ribbons tied through the loop and you have the cutest tag.

Creative Blog Hop Nomination!

Creative Blog Hop!

I am happy to say that my friend, Vicki Robertson, has nominated me to participate in a Creative Blog Hop. Vicki's style and creativity are stunning with layers, accents and colour so rich that I have loved her work forever.
Check out her blog to be inspired too.

Now, on with the hop.   So, here goes...

Each nominee will answer four questions and then nominate other crafty friends to play
along and keep the blog hop going.

1.  What am I working on?
I am always working on something. Right now it's all DT work as I am playing catchup.

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I am not a defined scrapper. What ever I create is usually depending on many things. It could be a sketch, a challenge, themed papers, colour inspired or photos dictate what paper I use... And it's never the same which keeps it all new and fun.

3.  Why do I create/write what I do?
I create most often to share it with family and friends. It will be nice also to leave our legacy behind in the forum of scrapbooks.

4.  How does my creative process work?
I go with the flow... what ever moves me at the time... and you just never
know where it will take you until it's done.

I am nominating a fellow blogger that has truly been an
inspiration to me in many ways.

Lisa's creativity is amazing.
Most of my scrappy friends were met online... and she was one of them.
We also had the opportunity to meet the first time in person at a MSW Crop
held in Texas and since then she and her family have visited me in Canada.
We have spent many hours skype scrapping  together experimenting, sharing,
learning and trying all things new to scrapbooking.
That is the part we both love the best.
Lisa's ideas are always inspiring.
Stop by her blog and tell her I sent you.

Thanks for stopping!

Paper House and are you ready for baseball?

Welcome to my Paper House project and are you  ready.. batter up... ball season is just around the corner.
I used the Sports Paper Pix Pad collection and the paper called Baseball 12" collage.
If your family is sports oriented then this pad is for you .. amazing themed sports options
and double sided for more creative pages.

Close ups show more details and some fun added accents.

This paper had the fabulous large scoreboard and I didn't want to cover it...
I chose a circular option and made it pop using matting background, some punchinella
and then added some fun Creative Embellishments Accents... some of which I added some glossy accents.
The title is stickers and some chipboard star looking outer accents.
Alot of times the corners are very bare. It is so easy to grab left over stash pieces to create
a layered banner with matching colours and fun accents.
The inked circles are made using the Sew Easy ink rollers.

I still had so many fun progressive batting photos and the only way to use them without spreading
them all over fabulous themed paper was a progressive strip. It was perfect.. but photos
alone looked lost on the page.. so more layers to add that pop of colour needed.
I grabbed a few more Creative Embellishments to accent the strip.. the frame is a great
addition and the fun arrows give it flow from left to right.
Lots of great black scallops with red trim and white gel pen was used to doodle some stitches to it.
Notice also that you don't always need matching accents .. dig into your stash and see what you can find.
