Multi Tasking a project takes some thought and maybe also stepping out of your comfort zone

Using the sketch I also played along with My Scraps and More the Thankful Challenge for 11/15.. family traditions and to use some ink, paint or mist. I used ink on the edges of the papers and also ink stamped a sectionof the background.

Also at Cookin' Up Creations Blue Plate Specials.. Inspirational Sunday 11/13 the challenge was to show a table and food.. it was perfect with these photos.

Multi tasking can be inspirational and also force you out of your box and your comfort zone.... you need to think ahead and plan how and what you'd like the finished project to encorporate as far as elements, theme, sometimes colour. It really is fun... hope you try it too.

Just a few projects

Scrapbooks Etc. has amazing FREE patterns.. paper piecing patterns. So with the tree above I put together the card below. It was very small however so I decided it was perfect for a Gift Card for xmas. In the inside I added the pocket with slot to hold the gift card.
Here is the card all tied up ready to put into an envolope. Decorating is fun.. so many options to do what ever you like. It's also small enough to use up those small stash pieces and part accents.


I hadn't made ATC's lately so the these were part of a Challenge at Dixie Pieces Birthday Bash celebration.. and it was to make 4 of them and use the theme .. the 4 seasons. It always amazing me what fits on such a small size.

Using a sketch of Tiare Smith from the Cookin' Up Creations Sketchy Saturday Nov 12.. and the twist to use photos of ME.. I made sure when we went to the AIR SHOW this past weekend to get these photos.. Kevin and Gibb were amazing and volunteered to poss with me.. lent me their rifle and helmet to get these great shots. Also at My Scraps and More the Nov. 14 Thankful Challenge was to use 5 manufacturers on the layout. I used American Crafters, Colorbox, DCWV, We R Making Memories.. and 1 unknown accents manufacturer..
As you can see I play at many fabulous and amazing sites. They all have so much to offer. The DT teams are creative and inspirational. Be sure to visit them and see what they have to offer and even play along... would love to see you there.

My Scraps and More Blog Sketches and Dixie Pieces

Every Thursday My Scraps and More Blog posts a sketch and a ballot is given for every layout submitted for the month. Thought it would be great fun to play along so below is my layout using the sketch #12 and with multi tasking I used mixed font for the title to submit in the Dixie Pieces Birthday Bash Challenge by Brianna #3. I turned it sideways to accommodate the photo and the cute owl on the paper.

I had great fun with some paint on this one, fun strips, knotted and weaved ribbon, some cute accents and some doodling.

Dixie Pieces is celebrating 4 years

A Bossy Scrapper Layout with Andrea. We compiled the 9 elements and then had about 3 hours to complete and post it.. this was a game.


This layout was Andrea's #1 to use 4 patterned papers.


Andrea's #2 was to use a banner.. I just happen to love banners.


Kim's #3 was to make a card with #'s on it... I got out all my new stamps and had a great time using #'s.

Kim's #3 was to use 4 buttons. I used the Peek a Boo card open circle and added felty accents, an epoxy sentiment and some doodling.

It was celebrating in full force this weekend .. Dixie Pieces Birthday Bash... they are celebrating 4 years. You however can still play along until Nov 13th... be sure to check it out.
I got a few of the challenges done of the 12.. a few more to do throughout the week.
