Fab Scraps C88 Floral Dreams Collection making a Tag

At Fab Scraps I am sharing the fun tag creatied using C88 Floral Dreams Collection. Tags are awesome on so many projects.

FOR THIS TAG YOU WILL NEED:
Paper: C88 Floral Dreams Collection  002 Melody, 003 Sprinkles, 001 Flutter Shine, C87 Journey in Time 008 Travelogue
Other: cardstock, SRM stickers, ribbons, sequins

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: Cut your cardstock base... standard size is about 3"x 6". I decided to to a double base for colour. I then decided to fussy cut some shapes and designs out of the collection.

STEP 2: Without gluing down anything layout  your proposed tag and this allows you to make alterations if you decide to remove or add more accents. It is also great to add off the edge items to give dimension to a tag.

STEP 3: In this photo you can see I added an additional dark print tag off to left side, added inked edges to the shapes and glued down a few sequin accents. I also added some SRM sticker scalloped stitches.

STEP 4: Last thing to add is the fun mix of ribbons, trims to the punched out tag. It's great to add colours that accent the colours of the papers.

Tags can be used to add to gifts, boxes, or even treat bags on the table for parties. So many options.. you can also vary the sizes to accommodate what you want them for. Christmas tags are awesome too.. just remember to have fun.. anything goes when creating.

Thanks for joining me today.  I had fun creating this tag to share with you.

Fab Scrap Double Diamond Card using C88 Floral Dreams Collection

This fabulous card is up at Fab Scraps. It uses C88 Floral Dreams Collection which is elegant and rich in colour. Their are super fun vinyl sticker accents too. Details below.

FOR THIS CARD YOU WILL NEED:
Paper: C88 Floral Dreams Collection 003 Sprinkles, 004 Starlight. C87 Journal in Time 008 Travelogue
Chipboard: DC88 006 Make a Wish
Accent: ST88 001 Fairy Princess Vinyl Stickers
Other: Copic markers, Cardstock, SRM Sticker stitches,

INSTRUCTIONS: STEP
1: Following the pattern instruction sheet below from Castlepark Designs make your card base out of cardstock.

STEP 2: Trim and fold as per instruction sheet above.

STEP 3: Using a paper collection you have so many options to decorate the folded spaces. You can make the pieces an exact fit or do like I do and make them 1/8” smaller on all side to leave a border accent. I love the pop of colour prints with a white cardstock background. (tip – trace a 2nd base and cut these pieces apart and use them to trace the pieces – some pieces are the same identical size just flip them around to fit the space – keep these tracer pieces in an envelope stapled to the pattern sheet for re –using over and over again). The centre one is easier so just mark the paper and cut it.

STEP 4: Using the stencils you made trace and cut the pieces to fit all sections.

STEP 5: Glue the pieces especially careful to get to the edges of each.

STEP 6: This photo shows how your card will stand up.

STEP 7: I copic coloured the chipboard and then matted it with a piece of paper to make it pop. I added some of the vinyl sticker accents to finish the card.

STEP 8: The last accents are the stitch looking SRM stickers. If you have a sewing machine you could stitch on for real.

STEP 9: The card fold down on both sides to fit a large envelope…. Or custom make you own.

Thanks for visiting today. Can’t wait to see you again soon.

Fab Scraps1st design team project using C88 Floral Dream Collection

C88  Floral Dream Collection Layout for Fab Scraps

This is my first posting for Fab Scraps. I am super excited to share my layout using amazing C88 Floral Dream Collection. This collection had amazing colour, stencil, chipboard and fun accents to create with. Details are below.

FOR THIS LAYOUT YOU WILL NEED:
Paper: C88 005 Merry Weather
Chipboard: DC 88 009 Fairy in Moon
Ink: Tim Holtz mini
Stencil: DS 005 Floral Dreams Filigree Frame
Other: Cardstock, Ink, Alpha, flowers

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: start with a misc cardstock base 12x12”. Fold the paper diagonally from corner to corner. Use upper half of the print flowers and the bottom right is the polka dot pattern. Firmly glue down to the cardstock
STEP 2: Fussy cut lots of the accents from the print paper… the cute image section with flowers, small flowers and the bird with circular stamp section.  Ink the edges for depth and dimension.
STEP 3: Ink colour the chipboard accent… matching the paper colours.
STEP 4. Roughly determine your photo and accent placement. Things will flow through the central diagonal section.
STEP 5: With the rough placement of photo and accents determine where the floral stencil will best fit the background of your paper. I used Ink stamps with the finger sponge to add the stenciling.
STEP 6: When clustering the accents… leave some on level height while foam popping some up for more depth.
STEP 7: Using some additional accents add the butterfly and some additional florals along with the fussy cut paper ones.
STEP 8: in the open space add the alpha letters for you titling. I also added a few misc arrow accents also.

Thanks for stopping by.. be sure to come again .. when I get to share more Fab Scrap projects... you won't want to miss what I have to share.
