SCORING on your layouts and cards

SCORING... If you have an authentic scoring board... great. BUT if not... replace the cutting blade with the scoring blade in your regular cutter. When scoring you can go vertical, horizontal or criss cross.. and by any measurements you like... however equal parts is the best.

After scoring your background or mat... use ink to detail it and pop it off the paper.

Here is a close up of boxed scoring on background and inked and a special marking on the square accent pieces that I scored and inked too.

This is my double page layout above using scoring and inking.. I love the effect with this technique.

On my sample card I scored the shape of bricks to form my background. As long as your consistent with your shapes and sizes they should look fabulous. Have fun scoring on your projects.

I am using this technique this month at Cookin' Up Creations and also We Scrap.

Pattie's Creations Challenge #28

Today with Pattie's Creations Challenge #28 is to use an insect or animal on your card.
This too cute giraff is great for a young child's birthday card... i used soft colours and added cute fun kids accents, a punched border and a touch of bling. All the accents were Glossy Accented.

Just Imagine Crafts/ Kreaxions Punches.. layouts, punches and homemade Entwined Flowers

hi ... good morning.. lots to share today. Any layout can be transformed with just a punch. On this layout for example ... instead of a full solid circular background I used the circle cutter to form a double cut circle to form a ring .. then punched Kreaxions #303 inside the circle instead of the outside... then on the outside I machine stitched. I used a basic border but also punched it... Kreaxions #304.

The fall way pieces were used on the upper left corner layered to form a fabulous corner accent.

Then I made my own bakers twine flower. Scallop punch or cut the background of the flower. Use the indentations to wrap the bakers twine around going top to bottom all around working left to right until ever scallop has twine. Add a top smaller cut or punched flower, add a button with twine tied knot and a beautiful homemade flower. Here is a sample of how you can take the idea from bought flowers and make your own... lots of variations too.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday and fun projects

Good morning... recently I played with some projects for Just Imagine Crafts. They could all be used for a baby shower, birthday or other celebration and it all mixes and matches. Using the Kreaxions Punch #907 I got borders punches and the fall away pieces are borders also. Used it for small banners and even a crown substitute. Lots of fun circles with the Kreaxions Circle cutter added to the decor.
Lots of layers, bling, white gel pen doodling and ric rak trim finished the projects...
1.a decorated jar to hold appropriate items.
2. little table bags for take home momentums
3. an invitation card for the celebration
These would be a great theme for many functions, celebrations or a party.

We Scrap REVEAL High Tide Kit

What a fabulous Kit.. so full of colour, embellisments and cute accents.. and Bakers Twine was used to make so many fun homemade flowers and stitch on layout.

Note the bakers twine flowers total homemade and alst the flowers from the paper where i added twine to accent them..... and the stitching. Fabulous fun bright colouring on this one.

This one showcased a floral cluster, lots of fun blocks of paper, stitching, brads and fun titling letters.

This paper was perfect to fussy cut and insert photo. Fun border and titling cluster and floral cluster accents.

This fun layout has bright punched borders and circle, fun bakers twine homemade flowers, cute sticker accents, fab titling letters and brads.

The cute card is accented with bakers twine, homemade bakers twine flower, punched paper flowers, sentiment sticker, brad and stitching.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday... Circles Galore with Kreaxions

Good morning... today I am sharing Circles Galore .... yes way to easy to make with the circle cutter by Kreaxions. This is the best tool ever. On the layout left side the largest circle was punched with Kreaxions Punch #303, the lower small circle with Kreaxions Punch #918 and the other circle is accented with doodled scallops. On the right side there is a large circle doodled with scallops and on the far right side from behind is the RING circle ( double cut). So circles don't have to be plain.. accents them with punches, doodling and double cut them.
